Central Paris
There’s no doubt that Paris has no shortage of beautiful natural scenery, lush green grass, and a plethora of animal habitats. In the heart of the city, you will find Bourbon County Park. This park encompasses nearly 300 acres of gorgeous green countryside. The park is not a dog park, so you will have to take your own amenities, such as doggie poop bags, water and dog toys. Your dog will also need to be on a leash at all times Many Paris residents frequent this park, taking their dogs, families and picnics. Trust us, you will have a pawtastic time at Bourbon County Park!

Northeast Lexington
At only an 18-mile drive from Paris, you’ll find yourself in northeast Lexington. This neighborhood is home to one of the most underrated parks in the area. The hidden gem known as Hisle Farm Park has plenty of parks, trails, open spaces and seating. Many Paris residents even bring their horses with their dogs to the park. In addition to everything for your dog in the park, it also has an archery range and fishing pond full of fish. However, this is not an off-leash park, so make sure you take a leash and your own doggie poop bags.

Winchester
Drive a mere 23 minutes from your home in Paris to Winchester, where you’ll find Lykins Park. This park is over 40 acres with plenty of shaded areas, picnic tables and sports fields. During the day, the park also has a concession stand where you can buy yourself some snacks while your dog enjoys the sun. The park is nothing short of picturesque in autumn, when the leaves begin to turn orange. Since this is not a dog park, you will have to take a dog leash as well as doggie poop bags and some water for yourself and Fido.

Pinsonfork
Perhaps one of the most beautiful parks in the state, Grant Branch Park, located in the city of Pinsonfork, is three hours away from Paris. Although this makes your trip to Pinsonfork a full day trip, it is definitely worth it. The park has a beautiful blue body of water that is 11.3 acres large. The park has hiking trails, a fishing pier and a gorgeous wood cabin. However, since it is not a dog park, you will need to take your own water, food, doggie toys and poop bags. Bring your best walking shoes and a fishing pole, too!

Frankfort
Located a mere 41 miles from Paris is the city of Frankfort. This city has plenty of natural beauty that you can bask in. However, if you really want to see it all with your dog, the best place to go is Cove Spring Park. The beautiful park has plenty of open spaces and trails that you can walk, run or bike with your dog. This on-leash park does not have any doggie poop bags, so you need to make sure you bring your own. The trails are lined with froggie pools, flowers and plenty of shady trees, which Fido will love exploring!
