East Moscow
Visit the Moscow Dog Park, in the East Moscow neighborhood of the city of Moscow, south of Potlatch. Take your favorite pup for a pawtastic day to run with the big boys! This park is completely fenced in for Fido’s safety, and covers one full acre of grassy areas, perfect for rolling and romping! There are half-circle tires mounted in the ground for hiding, scooting through and dodging, and a box of pup toys for all to use. Relax at the picnic tables and shelter. This dog park is located next to the Humane Society of the Palouse.

Sunnyside Hill
The Sunnyside Hill neighborhood in the city of Pullman, Washington, is southwest of Potlatch, and is where you and your fur-ever friend can enjoy the day at the Sunnyside Park. For some unbelievable scenic beauty, relax the day away here. There are lots of grassy areas surrounding two different ponds, all connected to a creek and feature a waterfall! Walk the paved trails throughout, perfect for all pup-abilities. Take some burgers to prepare on their BBQ grills along the water’s edge. There are also sports fields, disc golf, restrooms and drinking fountains. Be sure to take mutt mitts to keep this park clean!

North Moscow
In the North Moscow neighborhood of the city of Moscow, southwest of Potlatch, you and your pup should be ready for adventure. Visit the Virgil Phillips Farm Park which has a mix of forested areas, open spaces and wetland areas where you can wander. There are hiking trails which pass many beautiful streams and two on-site ponds. Be sure to bring binoculars and a camera to preserve memories of your time with your fur-ever friend. No restrooms are on-site, and the trails can be rough in areas, so plan accordingly. It is the perfect place to bring a picnic lunch.

East Colfax
Pack up your pup and head to the Kamiak Butte Park in the East Colfax neighborhood of Colfax, Washington, west of Potlatch. This park is a national natural landmark and features five miles of hiking trails through the forest. These trails vary in length and terrain, but the longest is the 3.5-mile Pine Ridge Trail, which offers a panoramic view of the area after reaching the top. This trail climbs in altitude, so make sure it suits your pawtastic pup’s ability. Visit the day use area after and grill some burgers on their provided firepits. There is also a playground and restrooms on site.

North Colfax
In the North Colfax neighborhood of Colfax, Washington, northwest of Potlatch, you will find the Steptoe Butte State Park. You will find adventure galore here and your pup will love this off-leash experience. This park covers 150 acres, and has spectacular views of the surrounding areas when you reach the top of the butte. This was the original North American border and there are educational signs along the way. With its vast open, grassy areas, many frequent this park for hang gliding, and paragliding. Be sure to bring plenty of water and food to share, and restrooms are provided on-site.
