New York Ave/ 3rd St
The New York Avenue and 3rd Street neighborhood is home to Union City’s largest park. Washington Park is shared with neighboring Jersey City, and provides a place for people and pets to be outside and enjoy the fresh air. Not only does this park have walkways, open space and sports courts, it also has a fenced dog run. So let your pup ditch her leash and run free! She’ll love bouncing around with new four legged pals while exploring the territory. At this park, small and large dogs play together. So if you have a little pooch, make sure she’s up for hanging out with the big dogs.

Bergenline Ave/ 21st St
Weehawken Reservoir is tucked away in the neighborhood of Bergenline Avenue and 21st Street. This 14 acre park is shared with Weehawken and provides locals a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The paved path that circles the reservoir is a puptastic spot to walk your favorite furry friend. Take some laps with your leashed pup and let him get his daily dose of doggy exercise. When his paws get tired, sit on one of the benches and enjoy views of Manhattan and the Hudson River. Your pooch will love hanging out by your side!

Town Center
With two dog parks at the tip of their paws, dogs living in the Town Center of Weehawken should consider themselves lucky! Located only one mile south of Union City, this neighborhood is only a bone’s throw away. Pack up your pooch and check out Weehawken Dog Run. With great views of the Hudson, this park is perfect for an afternoon outing with your canine companion. He can run free in the large gravel area. Lincoln Harbor Dog Park is also nearby. This park is covered in artificial turf and has some great rocks for climbing. Sounds puptastic!

Fisher Ave/ Paterson Plank Rd
Just four miles north of Union City is Millcreek Point Park. Located in this Secaucus neighborhood, the park is a lush slice of nature that will get your pup’s tail waggin’. Since it is right on the shore of the Hackensack River, there is plenty of opportunity for fishing, bird watching and plain old relaxing. But if your pup is eager to romp and play, he's in luck! This park also a fenced in dog run. He can chase new canine pals or just explore the territory on his own. If he’s the curious type, he’ll love checking out the obstacles. No bones about it, he’ll have a woofin’ good time!

Harmon Cove/ Castle Rd
If your pup is begging for a walk, head over to Laurel Hill Park. This park sits on the banks of the Hackensack River in the Harmon Cove and Castle Road neighborhood in Secaucus. It’s about five miles north of Union City and well worth the trip. Leash up your pooch and stroll down the riverfront walkway or check out the large rock hill that earns this park the nickname of ‘Snake Hill.’ The sport courts, playgrounds and boat launch make this a favorite park among locals. Your furry friend will have ample opportunity to socialize with new two legged friends.
