Weed Park features open spaces where Fido can roll around in the grass, and a walking path where you can get some exercise. If you want to spend the day with your pups and the kids, the park also offers a swimming pool and playground, and you can pack a picnic lunch and relax at the shaded tables. You will want to keep Fido on a leash and explore the walking trail around the duck pond. Remember to bring some doggie waste bags and dispose of trash near the restrooms. If you are staying at the nearby pup-friendly Travelodge, the park is close by and you can give your pooch some exercise before heading off to bed.

If you are in the Hershey Avenue neighborhood, Fido will love spending time at the Muscatine Kent-Stein Park. There are large open fields where pups can run around and have a pawsome time, with lights on the field in the evening for those late-night walks. With over 66 acres of land, you can get some exercise strolling along the trails with Fido on a leash admiring the gardens. You will need to dispose of your doggie waste bags near the restrooms, and you can refill water bottles at the fountain. After a busy day with the pup, plan to meet friends at the Contrary Brewing Company. There are several outdoor pooch-friendly tables where you can chat with friends and their furry companions.

Oak Park offers off street parking and plenty of space to let your pooch roam. When Fido is feeling frisky, head over to the park and walk your pup on a leash through the trees and around the grassy areas. Your pooch will enjoy sniffing the flowers and rolling in the grass while the kids hang out at the playground. In the northwest section of Muscatine, Discovery Park is great for a peaceful walk with your pooch. You can stroll around the ponds and watch the wildlife, just be sure to keep Fido on a leash. There are beautiful gardens with paths for a lovely walk. If you get tired, relax on one of the shaded benches while Fido rolls in the grass or barks at the birds. While walking along the trails you will probably see butterflies, frogs, and other wildlife. Another option in this part of town is Fuller Park. You can plan a picnic with friends and grill up some burgers and hot dogs while the teenagers play disc golf and the younger kids hang out at the playground. Fido will enjoy the walking trails and getting some exercise before heading home.
Downtown Muscatine
Downtown Muscatine is home to the Riverside Park offering a beautiful walking path along the Mississippi River. As you stroll along the path during the winter months, you and Fido will probably see eagles soaring overhead. You can relax on shaded benches and watch the activities on the water, but you will need to keep your pup on a leash. If you and Fido enjoy fishing, relax on the banks of the river and throw in a line.
