If you’re visiting the residential neighborhood of Castle Hills, make room for supper at PIE 314. This cute reference to mathematical Pi serves up pizza pies in a variety of gourmet options. If you’ve ever wanted to try caramelized onions on a prosciutto-blue cheese pizza, now’s the time! They also offer classics and a variety of hot sandwiches, apps, and more. Best of all, they have an extensive outdoor dining area that welcomes dogs. While you sip your beer or wine, your dog can enjoy a bowl of water by your side. If you slip him a bite or two under the table, we won’t tell.

Central Lewisville

Tierney’s Cafe and Tavern is a must when you visit Central Lewisville. This restaurant is just steps away from East Main Street and all there is to see and do in the bustling heart of Lewisville. Tierney’s Cafe and Tavern welcomes dogs to their patio every day, allowing your best friend to rest by your side while you sample classic burgers and entrees as diverse as Thai Ribs and Monte Carlo Strip Steak. If you’re lucky enough to be passing through on the last Sunday of every month, treat your dog to some social time as well, as Tierney’s hosts a Yappy Hour!

East Lewisville

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop probably isn’t named for the fact that they welcome dogs to outdoor tables, but it certainly adds to the atmosphere! This restaurant is the place to go if you want classic Mexican food. Tamales, burritos, and of course tacos fill the menu. If you’re craving some good old Texas BBQ instead, head just down the road to Big Jack’s BBQ. From sandwiches to classic meals and sides, Big Jack’s BBQ has it all. Your dog can join you at an outdoor table while you try a variety of smoked, sauced, and BBQ’d meats and sides in Texas-sized portions!

South Lewisville

The Lewisville Railway Dog Park is a dream come true for energetic pups. There are separate areas for dogs 30lbs and under, and those 31lbs and above, so everyone gets playmates they’re comfortable with. The parks are large and have benches and limited shade, as well as drinking fountains. The park is also illuminated at night and open late, so take your dog after sunset on days when the temperature gets dangerous. If you’ve worked up an appetite, take your dog to Ojeda’s Mexican. There are outdoor, dog friendly tables a whole mess of Tex-Mex classics at this business that’s been around since 1969!

North Lewisville

Lake Park in North Lewisville is a great place to go to get away from it all. The park is large and set away from roads, allowing you to forget the hustle and bustle and enjoy nature. The park is largely undeveloped, making it the perfect place to walk your leashed dog! There are beach areas, where a sandy/pebble beach combine to give you access to Lewisville Lake. You’re going to want to bring your own water while you’re exploring, as walking the paths may take you far away from the drinking fountains in the area. A dog bowl for your pup will also be useful!
