There’s no better way to enjoy a free afternoon than packing up and heading to the park. Howland Township Park has plenty to do for both the two legged and four legged members of the family. Located in Howland Center, this park is loaded with fun filled amenities. Soccer fields, tennis courts, horseshoe pits and basketball courts will keep the sports enthusiasts busy. Take laps around the track with your leashed furry friend, or explore one of the hiking trails. Follow the Howland Boardwalk Nature and let your canine pal enjoy some beautiful scenery. Your pup will love the fresh air and sunshine!

Parkman Road/ McMyler Street
If your dog needs to stretch out her four legs, clip her leash on and head over to the Parkman Road and McMyler Street area and spend some time at Perkins Park. Get some doggy cardio in while taking laps around the walking path. Or mosey on down to the River Walk Trail and enjoy the views of the Mahoning River. Stop on the banks and let your pup wade into the cool water or just sit and enjoy the peaceful sound of the river. Their shelves are stocked with top of the line food, treats, supplements and accessories. You’ll find a vast assortment of raw and natural products. This shop also doubles as a DIY Dog Wash. Come use the natural pet care products and washing stations to give your fur baby a good scrubbing. Once your pup is sparkling clean, head over to the nearby Packard Park for some exercise.
