About 18 miles from Newton Falls is Mosquito Lake State Park in Cortland, Ohio. This state park is a puptastic place for outdoor-loving dogs and their humans to spend a day (or more, if you love to camp!) in nature. Not only can you explore hiking trails, roam the campgrounds, or even fish with your leashed pup, but Mosquito Lake State Park even has a dog-friendly off-leash park for your pooch. The dog park has five acres of space for Spot to run and has a separate area for small or shy dogs to stay safe and comfortable. The park even has lake access for dogs to cool off their paws.
