Located only approximately nine miles away from the city of Porter Center is Lewiston. Lewiston is home to one dog park, the Lewiston Dog Park. It rests on top of a hill with a beautiful view of the city. The park is split up into zones according to dog size. The park is completely off-leash so your pup can run and play with abandon. Furthermore, there are plenty of amenities in the park for dogs and their owners, including doggie poop bags and plenty of watering spots. Once you’re done having fun at this park, head to the Joseph Davis State Park. Although it is an on-leash park, you and dog will enjoy this park immensely.

Despite its sinister name, this state park is nothing short of heavenly. Here, you and Fido can fish, hike, enjoy a picnic, and so much more! Just make sure to keep your pup on a leash no longer than six feet, because it’s required here. You’ll definitely want to bring a camera, since this park offers striking views of the Devil’s Hole Rapids. Don’t forget to bring all Fido’s necessities, like water, doggie waste bags, and a toy.

If you drive only nine miles from your home in Porter Center, you can find yourself in the city of Wilson, New York. This city is home to Calvin E Krueger Park. This park has multiple sports fields, playgrounds and benches. Enclosed within the park is a dog park with separate zones for big and small dogs. It also has an obstacle course where dogs can play and train. The Calvin E Krueger Park has everything you and your dog could possibly want. Although Buffalo is thirty miles away from Porter Center, the drive is well worth it. Buffalo is home to three dog parks! The first park you mutts go to with your furry friend is the Buffalo Dog Park at LaSalle Park. This off-leash park gives you open space to play and run with gorgeous views. The second park you must visit is the Barkyard at LaSalle Park. This fenced-in park is completely off-leash and has plenty of amenities, such as drinking water fountains and dog size zones. If you drive only 25 miles from Porter Center, you can find yourself in the great city of Amherst. Amherst is home to two dog parks. The first one is The Paw Park. This large, fenced-in park has two zones: one for small dogs and the other for large dogs. This park accepts donations as it is completely run on donations. The next park you need to go to is the Amherst Paw Park. This park is nearly two acres in size with fresh, lush green grass. It is often visited by many locals, making it a great place to help your dog socialize.
