Monte Vista
Monte Vista is home to a couple pretty pawsome parks. When your canine companion is ready for a walk, clip on his leash and head on over to Guadalupe Park. This is a linear park that is half developed and half nature park. Follow the paved trails through the park so your pooch can get his daily dose of doggy cardio. Drinking fountains are available, but bring a bowl so your buddy can stay cool and hydrated. Portola Park is also in the neighborhood. With ball fields, playgrounds, tennis courts and asphalt paths, it’s no wonder this park is a local favorite.

Uptown
Nothing beats spending the afternoon in the park with your four legged pal. So take a trip to Vista Grand Park in Uptown and let your pooch stretch her four legs. Since this park is mostly made up of large grassy fields, your pal can sniff around to her heart’s content. She’ll love the freedom of wandering with no specific destination. After a few laps around the fields, check out the wilderness area. She can hunt for her favorite stick, or catch a glimpse of a squirrel or two. Don’t forget to bring some water- after all the exploring, she’ll be ready for a drink!

Lakeview
If your pup is begging for a walk, clip on her leash and head over to Lakeview and pay a visit to Vista Del Valle. With over 25 acres to explore, this park will make your pooch one happy hound. Follow the walking trails around the rolling hills and you’ll be rewarded with great views of the surrounding area while getting your dog’s heart rate pumping. Since it is a pupular walking spot, be sure to keep your buddy on leash at all times. Your dog is sure to make some new friends here!

West Coyote Hills
The West Coyote Hillsneighborhood in nearby Fullerton is home to the Robert E. Ward Nature Preserve. It’s only three miles from La Habra, so you won’t have to travel far. Your four legged friend will love getting his exercise in this natural setting. The Nora Kuttner Trail stretches .64 miles, and leads through patches of coyote brush, prickly pear and California sagebrush. After your walk, find a bench in the nearby West Coyote Hills Tree Park and relax for a minute. If your pooch is still rearing to go, hop on the Mormon Trail or Rosecrans Regional Trail.
Fullerton Rd/ Galatina St
If your pooch is looking for some adventure, pack up a backpack and take a trip to Peter F. Schabarum Regional Park. This 575 acre wilderness park is just seven miles north of La Habra in the nearby town of Rowland Heights, and well worth the trip. Your furry friend will love hiking over the rolling hills, and through trees and shrubs. The Schabarum, Purple Sage, and Powder Canyon Loop connects the park with neighboring canyons and makes a 4.2 miles loop around the whole area. When it’s time to go home, your canine buddy will be pawsitively tuckered out.
