West Maple
If you’re looking or a quick place to work off some of your dog’s energy, look no further than Malibu Park in the West Maple neighborhood. This park is perfect for those days when you only have a limited amount of time to get your dog as tired as possible. Your pup will have to stay on leash in the park, so make sure you’re ready to walk. Then use the park’s open, green spaces and trails to work up a sweat. People-oriented dogs will love the crowds, and shy dogs will appreciate having room to roam just with you.36

Mesa - Cottonwood
Mesa - Cottonwood is close to the heart of the city. If you’re walking your dog through all there is to see there, make sure you stop by the Hesperia Civic Plaza Park. This beautiful park is a multi-use space designed to cater to children and busy professionals alike. There’s a small playground area, but the rest of the park is green space and easy walking trails! Bring your own water to the park, as there aren’t any fountains for dogs. This park is perfect for winding down at the end of the day, or getting in a quick walk before work.24

Oakhills
Lime Street Park is an amazing asset to the Oakhills community. There is a larger, general park with picnic grounds and playground equipment, but that’s not what’s going to attract the attention of furry friends: the Lime Street Dog Park is! This fenced in dog park has separate areas so large and small dogs can both play off leash! Yay! The park is still on its way to becoming perfect, so bring your own water bowl for the pups and extra water for you. There is a shade tree, but the hot summer sun in Hesperia can still hit you!12

Mesa
Mesa is one of the easternmost neighborhoods of Hesperia, and home to the Hesperia Lake Park, a cool getaway from the blazing desert. While many people come to the lake for fishing, your dog will love the hikes! Leash up and bring plenty of water, because some of these trails are steep! Research the trails before setting off to be sure you get the experience you want. Dogs will love the fresh green scents in this desert oasis.

Frost
Frost, in nearby Victorville, is a ten minute drive from downtown Hesperia. It’s also home to Mojave Narrows Regional Park. This park is a destination for the whole family. There’s fishing, picnic spaces, equestrians, and most importantly: hiking! Your pup won’t mind ruff-ing it up some moderate inclines. You’ll love the view, he’ll love the exercise. If you want something a little gentler, you can use the trails by the water for a leisurely stroll. Dogs should remain leashed inside the park. Also remember to bring plenty of water for you and your pup!
