Clay Springs
Take a great hike with your furry pal on the Tall Timbers Trailhead. The trail is two miles long on a loop style route. While hiking, you will come across some stairs that you can climb before you come across a creek where you can stop and cool off. If you want to continue hiking, hop onto another trail in the area or continue onto your loop. Located in Clay Springs and only five miles out of Overgaard, your pup will love exploring this trail with you.36

Heber
Grab Fido and take a nice walk along the Hangmans Trail. The trail is three miles long with a 367-foot elevation gain. This trail is pretty easy for any skill level of hiker, and offers a packed dirt path where you are covered by tall trees to help keep you shaded. The trail passes a cemetery along the way, and you may see remnants of the Rodeo-Chediski Fire that burned along this path in 2002. Make sure to bring plenty of water for your dog when you are out hiking the trail which is located less then a mile out of Overgaard in Heber.24

Torreon
Check out McCarty Park with Fido by your side. This pawesome park is covered by large trees that help keep you shaded when you visit. The park offers a playground, covered picnic area, benches, and a great walking path that you and Fido can use for a good day of exercise while you are out. Make sure you keep your dog on a leash when you are at the park, and don't forget to bring water and clean-up bags along with you. Located in Show Low, and less then thirty miles out from Overgaard, your dog will have a great time out at the park with you.12

The Show Low City Park is a fantastic place to spend the day with your pup. This beautiful park offers a playground, large grass are for running, and baseball diamonds. There is an amazing hiking trail throughout the park that is slightly wooded, and a great area to explore with your dog. Keep your dog on a leash while out at the Show Low City Park and make sure to bring water and clean-up bags. Located in Show Low, this is the perfect park to let Fido run around in.
