Despite the size of this community, there are only a few
small community parks. The only one of any consequence is Robichaux Park in the
northeast corner. This park measures a little over 13 acres and has a gym, a playground, numerous athletic fields, and features multiple walking trails. At the same time, there are acres of grass for the both
of you to run around on and burn off some of those extra pounds.

for a bit of a drive, to the northwest of the community is Dan Ryan Woods. The woods
cover over 250 acres and include numerous playing fields, a sledding hill that is
very popular, and a long, paved walking trail to explore.
Finally, like most of
the communities in Chicago, there are a
number of vacant lots scattered throughout Washington Heights. While it
can be tempting to take your pup out in these lots, they are still someone's private
property, so exercise caution.
