Best dog walkers in North Mayfair

Like most of Chicago, the ground in North Mayfair is typically flat. The majority of the terrain is concrete and tarmac, but the streets in the residential areas offer lots of shady trees to hide under and plenty of grass for your dog to walk on. When the ground is as flat as it is here in North Mayfair, finding ways to make your walks a little more challenging can be hard. But, you just have to be as creative as you can, walk around different blocks, take your pup to Gompers Park, or better yet, pack everyone in the car, pack a lunch, and take off to spend the day out on the shores of Lake Michigan. There are several dog-friendly beaches and miles of park and trails to explore. North Mayfair has plenty of green space when it comes to grassy strips along most of the streets, large suburban-style yards, direct access to North Mayfair Park, and, of course, access to Gompers Park in the north. Gompers Park covers approximately 39 acres straddling the Chicago River. Not only will you and your pup discover a lagoon, but also areas of rehabilitated wetlands. Gompers Park also includes the LaBagh Woods and features plenty of trails for you and your dog to explore and wind your way down. There is a family picnic area, outdoor pool, playgrounds, sports fields, and, of course, plenty of green grass for the both of you to chase each other around on, play fetch or Frisbee on, or simply just relax in the shade of one of the many shady trees growing all over the entire park. No matter what you choose to do, there is plenty of greenery to enjoy.
