Wag! Walkers know Nob Hill Estates
Nob Hill Estates does not, unfortunately, sit on a hill of
any kind! In fact, the land around here is very flat. The community sits on Taylor
Road which is a bustling area home to both the Spruce Creek High School and the
Spruce Creek Elementary School. The homes here are single-family
houses sitting on large shady lots, creating an inviting family atmosphere.
There are several advantages to living in Nob Hill Estates,
starting with direct access to I-95, a popular
commuter highway for those who live here but work at the Cape or in Greater Daytona
Beach. I-95 also takes you north to the I-95-I-4 interchange, and I-4 takes you to
Orlando and further west.
At the interchange, you can find just about everything you could possibly need. There is a Publix grocery
store where you can buy food for your family and your pup, clothing stores,
hardware stores, clothing stores, and West Port Center.
What is the terrain like in Nob Hill Estates?
Taylor Road is a bustling four-lane thoroughfare that stays busy from early in the morning
until late at night. It runs from downtown Port Orange to I-95 and is especially hectic
during the morning and evening rush hours. At the same time, don't forget that
you also have to deal with school busloads of kids coming and going during the
school year!
The streets within the neighborhood are heavily tree-lined, creating
a cool shady place to take your dog out for walks. The only problem with the area is the lack of sidewalks. This leaves you with no choice but to take your
walks on the streets. Luckily, these sidewalks are covered in plenty of shady spots from the trees that sit alongside the roads. If walking at night, stay in areas where you can remain visible to drivers that are passing by. You won't want to find yourself in the way of oncoming traffic!
How many greenways are there in Nob Hill Estates?
The one thing missing in the immediate vicinity is green
space for you and your dog to go walking on or playing in. In fact, if you want green space of any size,
the two of you will have to go for a drive.
Five minutes to the east on Spruce Creek Road is the All
Children's Park, Spruce Creek Road Park, and Seemore Memorial Dog Park. Seemore is
a wonderful place to take your pooch to play
with separate sections for both small and large dogs so they can enjoy having
fun without getting hurt. Each fenced-in area offers a watering station and plenty
of shade to keep everyone cool.
Then there is the beach, a fifteen-minute drive to the east on
Dunlawton. Here, you and your pup can enjoy walking in the fresh ocean air,
getting in plenty of exercise while hunting
for seashells, or going for a swim in the warm waters together.
