Wag! Walkers know Club Oceania Condo
The Club Oceania Condo sits right on the beach, offering you
spectacular views of the sun as it appears to be coming up out of the Atlantic Ocean
every morning. What a great way to start your day! You and your dog can take
early morning walks and enjoy the cool breezes coming in off the ocean before
the beach begins to fill up with tourists
and cars.
Being a little further south from the heart of town may have
the added advantage of being a little more peaceful, but it also puts you a bit further out from essentials such grocery
stores, pet supply stores, and most importantly, places to go out for a
meal. Luckily, it's only a five-minute
drive back into the heart of town where you will find several fast-food eateries
along with a range of specialty restaurants serving up a virtual smorgasbord of
international and local cuisine for you to sample.
What is the terrain like in Club Oceania Condo?
Living right on S Atlantic Avenue means having to deal with
a fair amount of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. It's one of the "benefits"
of living on the beach. You can expect a few quiet
weeks during the off-season, but for most of the year, you and your dog will be
dealing with significant amounts of obstacles during your walks.
The trick when faced with this type of situation is to study
the traffic patterns and see if there are particular times of the day when traffic
is lighter and plan your walks for these times during peak tourist season. Doing
so will make walks with your dog more fun
and a lot safer. Be sure you keep your dog on a leash at all times just in case
they are startled by the traffic. A much better choice would be to cross the
road and go for walks in the residential areas where there is far less traffic.
How many greenways are there in Club Oceania Condo?
The most significant
green space is arguably the beach itself which runs north to Ponce Inlet and then
south for many miles on its way to Miami. The beach offers soft sands that can
be hard to walk in, but gives your leg muscles a good workout. Hard packed wet sand is perfect for walking
back on after a long walk in the soft sand. On top of this, the ocean offers
both of you a place to play and cool off.
On the other side of the peninsula is the Mosquito Lagoon
Aquatic Preserve. If you can get your dog to hop in a canoe, the lagoon offers miles of waterways, some areas of land,
and plenty of fantastic scenery. You never
know, but you might get to see the resident pod of dolphins, some of whom have
been here for a very long time!
