you can see the ocean and go to sleep with the sound of the waves crashing on the
beach each night. This is an older area of
the beachside, but the houses here are in good repair. While most of the houses are single-family, there are apartments
nearby and you are only a short walk from
the beach. Like most of the beachside,
there are plenty of places to eat, including a restaurant serving Indian cuisine
right on the corner of the street. There are parks and pet supply stores within
driving distance.

The terrain on the beachside is flat, sandy, and, in this particular
case, old. The sidewalks are often cracked and crumbled, but they beat walking
on the streets. While Davis might be a short street running between S. Grandview
Ave. and A1A, no one ever said you have to stick to walking on just one street.
If you want to stick to walking
on paved surfaces, there are plenty of blocks for you to explore all
up and down the peninsula. Living in Daytona Beach also means living with pavement
that is far too hot for Fido to walk on during the hottest parts of the day. When
the sun is shining and the outside temperature is in the 90s, the pavement can

but if you want green space, you won't find much more than a couple of smaller

of play time. However, you are only a short drive from Bulow Creek State Park to the north on A1A. This free access state
park covers approximately 5,600 acres of which over 1,500 are underwater. The park
has multiple trails for you and Fido to explore, including the Bulow Woods
Trail that measures almost seven miles long. The hike will take you and Fido to the Bulow Plantation Historic State Park.
The park is also home to the
Fairchild Oak which is reputed to be one of the oldest live oaks in the southern
U.S. It is estimated to be 400 years old and has seen much history, including the Second
Seminole War, fought in 1836.
