This neighborhood is home to Ripon’s one off-leash area, Ripon Dog Park. This five-acre dog park has two separate fenced sections: one for large dogs and one for small dogs. Both areas feature big fields for pups to play in, and there are plenty of trees that provide shade. Bring water and doggy bags with you, and have fun playing at this park! If all this playing makes you and your dog hungry, paw on over to Cousins Subs. Sit at one of their dog-friendly outdoor tables, and enjoy a wide variety of delicious hot and cold subs, salads, and soups.

Parkside Street
If you’re searching for a great place to take tour dog for an on-leash walk, try Riggs County Park. This 300-acre park has numerous trails to explore with your furry best friend. These mostly flat trails will take you through unique wetlands and fields filled with native prairie grass. Bring some doggy bags and water, and have a good time hiking through this lovely park. If you want to get a bite to eat after the park, head to J’s BBQ. This Southern barbeque joint allows dogs at their outdoor tables, and they serve brisket, pulled pork, breaded shrimp, and much more.

Butler Avenue
When you’re in this residential Oshkosh neighborhood, you won’t want to miss Best Friends Dog Park at Winnebago County Park. Located 27 miles from Ripon, this nine-acre dog park has two sections: one for large dogs and one for small dogs. Both sections have open spaces where dogs can run and play with their new friends, and the large dog section also has a trail where dogs can go for off-leash strolls. There’s no water available in the park, so it’s a good idea to bring some with you. Your dog’s tail will wag with excitement when they see this pawesome dog park!

Highknocker Trail
This Green Lake neighborhood is home to Highknocker Park, a furrific place to take your dog for an on-leash stroll. Located seven miles from Ripon, this park has a walking trail that takes you past the park’s sports fields, playground, and open fields. Bring some water with you, and have a good time walking through this community park. After your walk, continue your fun day out with lunch at Goose Blind Grill & Bar. Sit at one of their numerous dog-friendly outdoor tables, and enjoy their delicious nachos, steaks, hand-crafted burgers, brick-oven pizza, and much more. You and Fido will fall head over paws for this local favorite!

Portage Street
If you’re looking for another woofderful off-leash area for your dog, check out FIDO Dog Park. This park is 22 miles from Ripon, and it has separate sections for large and small dogs to play in. Both areas have plenty of space for dogs to run and play, and there are lots of benches and chairs for owners. If you want to get lunch after the park, head over to The Bagelmeister. This bakery boasts that they have the best coffee in town -- we'll let you and Fido be the judge! They allow dogs at their two outdoor tables, and they serve a wide variety of freshly baked bagels, pastries, wraps, paninis, and breakfast sandwiches. Bone Appetit!
