Downtown West Richland
The heart of West Richland provides a great escape from the nearby urban areas. It is something between a small town and a suburb, and it has lots of small parks and restaurants that you can enjoy with a four-legged friend! Enterprise Neighborhood Park is a small community park on Peony Street that serves as a great place for a meditative stroll. Right across the road is The Park at Lakes. True to its name, this park rests beside a small lake and has a hiking trail that you don’t want to miss. Coffee Town Espresso is a nice café in West Richland that can accommodate dogs at their outdoor tables.

South Richland
South Richland is a must-visit neighborhood for dog owners because there are just so many things to do there! Have some delicious pizza and craft beer at Stick and Stone, a local favorite restaurant with outdoor seating for those with paws. Also, be sure to swing by Badger Mountain Dog Park for some off-leash playtime. There's a 2.5-acre area for large dogs and a half-acre area for small dogs. The dog park also has water available, and it is a part of the surrounding Badger County Community Park. For a meal afterward, choose from six Fido-approved restaurants with outdoor seating! Bone Appetit!

Quail Springs
The area near the Quail Springs apartment complex is a beautiful suburban neighborhood that you’ll definitely want to check out if you’re in the area. It is a great place to explore on foot, as the green lawns, charming trees, and neighborly community all come together to create a one-of-a-kind setting you’ll love. Brookstone Park epitomizes this unique Northwestern atmosphere: spanning just two and a half acres, it is a small but welcoming community park with a nice walking path lined with benches and a variety of trees. For a taste of nature, head to Candy Mountain Trail — it provides a breathtaking view of the area and is a terrific example of the Northwestern shrub-steppe environment.

Queens Gate
The Yakima River divides the city of Richland from West Richland, and if you journey across, you’ll find plenty to do with your dog. James J. Lawless Park is a nice location for a stroll, as is Howard Amon Park, which overlooks the Columbia River. There are also many restaurants in town with dog-friendly outdoor seating. The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is great for a light meal and hot beverage. For something more substantial, try The Kitchen at Barnard Griffin — it’s a winery and dining room with delicious food you can enjoy overlooking a scenic Northwestern vista. They offer small snacks to eat while you sample their wine or full-sized entrees.

Northern West Richland
West Richland’s northern area is a nice place to visit with a four-legged friend. The beautiful Washington landscape sets the stage for a day of adventure and activity: meander through the rural town blocks, take a stroll around woodland glades, and pass along reflective ponds and deep blue lakes. You’ll want to stop by Flat Top Park on Austin Drive; this is a small community park where you can enjoy a relaxing walk with your dog. The park encompasses over ten acres and has picnic tables, a doggie water station, walking paths, a play area and more! You might even be able to catch one of the free concerts the park often hosts.
