Central Ephraim
The Ephraim City Historical Tour allows your pup to get some exercise while also learning about the town’s pawsome history. Before beginning the tour, pick up a brochure in town or find the map online. You'll start out at the Indian Massacre Monument. Early settlers were often at odds with the Ute Indians and after years of conflict a treaty was signed. Stop by Pioneer Park and check out the Peace Tree which commemorates this major event. This little park is great place to paws for a break in the shade. Continue the tour so your dog can see the Old Fort Monument, Heritage Plaza, and several historic homes. Your furry friend will be a regular historian by the time you’re finished!

South Ephraim
Is your pooch begging for a walk? Canyon View Park is the perfect place for a little doggy cardio. Not only does it have beautiful views of the surrounding hills, it also has a wide open grass field that your dog will go mutts over! Let your pup roam around and check out every nook and cranny of the field. Then take a couple laps around the paved walking path to get their blood pumping. This puptastic park also features a playground, splash pad, and picnic pavilion. There’s also a grill available for cooking up some burgers, so bring the whole pack along and have a pawty!

East Ephraim
Ephraim is very proud to be the home of Snow College, and the giant “S” on the side of a nearby mountain proves it. If your pup has energy to burn, a hike to the “S” is definitely a good idea. Find the trailhead next to the water treatment plant on Canyon Road. While the trail is pretty steep, the good news is that it’s only about a mile to the top. When you arrive at the massive stone letter, take a breather on the bench and enjoy the view. While you will be hiking in shrub oak, the trail is pretty exposed and can be hot. Make sure you bring plenty of H2O for both you and your four legged hiking companion.

North Manti
Manti is Ephraim’s sister city and is located just 10 minutes south. Make a reservation at Temple Hill Campground and spend some time exploring this little town. Whether your preferred method of camping is a tent or RV, this place has a site for you. Located just to the west of the well known Manti Temple, it also has a swimming pool, horseshoe pits, and a volleyball court. Your pup will appreciate the designated pet area. They’ll also love sniffing their way through the sagebrush on the hillside adjacent to the campground. Keep in mind dogs must be leashed whenever they are outside of your vehicle.

Central Manti
Looking for a new place to walk your doggo? Drive 10 minutes south to Manti and check out Manti City Park. This park features a playground, sport court, and a ball field. Your pup will be more interested in the massive grass area. Let your pup’s nose chart a course around the lawn so they can check out all the new smells. If your canine buddy needs a break, find a spot under one of the shade trees, sit back, and relax. For a change of scenery, head over to Manti Pioneer Park. It’s not quite as big, but your dog will still want to give it a once over.
