You can walk through the pumpkin patch, explore the corn maze, or just enjoy the snacks and apple cider at the snack center. There are a lot of family-friendly activities here that make the thirty-minute drive worth it. Just remember that you must clean up after your dog. They are really strict about this and will ask you to leave if you do not follow this rule.24
Dunbar Historic Lake
How about taking your dog with you while you learn to paddle board? SUP Lubbock allows you to do just that! You can bring your dog out on the water with you for a two-hour paddle boarding lesson. If you don't want to paddle board, you can enjoy the water or just walk the trails. You will need a leash, and you might want to get a life vest for your dog. The area is a beautiful place to come and enjoy nature. Remember to bring your water bottle.12

United Market is a great outdoor market that allows you to take in the local culture. Taphouse 16 is one of the great stops along the way. You can sample crafts and wine on the patio with your dog. They even have free wi-fi! You can bring snacks and food over from other stands if you would like. Overall, this is a great place to try a new brew with your dog. It is open all year round, but you will find the best selections at the beginning of each season. All of this and so much more is waiting just under a half-hour away.

It may be an hour drive to get to Caprock Canyons State Park, but the activities here, including camping, boating, fishing, hiking, and so much more, make the drive well worth it! The state park is home to a 63-mile trail that was established by Rails-to-Trails. You will love the scenic countryside full of wildlife. Be sure to keep your dog on his leash when you get to the tunnel because it is full of bats! This is a fascinating place to come and walk your dog.
