Uptown Central
If you’re having a ruff day and you need to relax with your best buddy, a good place to be is McAllister Dog Park situated near Hollywood Park. Approximately 7 miles away from Hollywood Park, in Uptown Central San Antonio, lies this beautiful 976-acre wooded park. You can find 15 miles of trails where you and your furry pal can walk around and have fun in the abundant shade. If you want to have some off-leash entertainment, you can visit the dog area that has separate zones for small and large dogs. You can use the picnic units, baseball fields, rugby fields and more while you’re waiting for your puppy to finish playing.

Stone Oak
Stone Oak is approximately 3.5 miles away from Hollywood Park, and it’s another great place for your loyal companion. Here, you can find one of the best dog parks in the area named Panther Springs Park. This dog park is a double gated park with three different entrances: one on Wilderness Oak, one behind Parman Library, and another behind Wilderness Oaks Elementary. This park has paved and unpaved trails and it’s really clean. It has plenty of parking place and the park is divided into small dog and big dog areas.

Universal City
Universal City is a small town just 12 miles away from Hollywood Park, and it has a dog park as well. The Universal City Dog Park is the only dog park in the city, but it’s a pretty solid one. Although it has fewer amenities compared to some of the other parks, but if you’re in the vicinity, don’t hesitate to visit it. It has a small dog area, as well as some grassy areas. In addition, it has covered sitting area with tables for dog owners. In the large dog area, you can find two big water stations and a doggy playhouse with ramp.

Downtown San Antonio
Downtown San Antonio is 14.5 miles away from Hollywood Park. Here, there is a park named Madison Square Park, and it also has a small dog park within it. There are benches that you can use to look after your best friend while he plays, and it also has good lightning at night. There is a small playground and a dog drinking fountain. It is fenced and offers doggie bags at your disposal. Although it’s not a very big park, it surely has a lot of spirit to it! Your pupper can run free and play with newfound friends. It doesn’t have separate small and large dog areas, but it is fenced, so if your dog is friendly with all dogs, it’s a perfect spot for you.
