Queen Village

Queen Village

The Mario Lanza Dog Park is a 23-minute drive from Wynnewood, located in the Queen Village of Philadelphia, not far from the Pennsylvania/New Jersey border. This neighborhood park is fenced in, and it has a few grassy spaces, benches, seating, lighting for night-time park visits, and plenty of trees and bushes that your pup will love to sniff. This park has a great reputation for being frequented by not only friendly dogs, but friendly humans as well, so it won't be long before you and your pet meet a new friend or two at your new favorite dog park!

Pennsauken Township

Pennsauken Township

Pennsauken is a suburb of Philadelphia, although it is located in New Jersey. It's only a half-hour drive from Wynnewood, though, and this drive gets you to the beautiful Cooper River Park. Within this park is the Pooch Park, where your dogs can play off-leash, and there is even a separate area for small or senior dogs. Your dog is welcome to accompany you on a visit to the rest of the park, but outside of the Pooch Park, they must be on a leash at all times. The park also features lighting, benches, and drinking water.

Northern Blackwood

Northern Blackwood

It may take a 36-minute drive to get there from Wynnewood, but Timber Creek Park is worth the trip, and your dog is sure to agree. Located in Blackwood, New Jersey, Timber Creek Park is a 60-acre paradise, and within this space is a 9-acre fenced area for off-leash dogs. There are trails around the park perimeter, along with playgrounds, bathrooms, picnic tables, and other seating. Both the pups and the people who visit the park love the pond in the center of it, and you'll often find dogs taking a dip in it to cool off on hot days.

Roxborough

Roxborough

With a name like "Pretzel Dog Run", it's bound to be a fun place, and this dog park does not disappoint! It's only a 14-minute drive from Wynnewood, too. Pretzel Dog Run is located within Manayunk Park, and while it is fully fenced in, one portion of the wall is a bit lower than others, so keep a close eye on your pooch if they tend to be an escape artist! The park does have a double-gated entry system for added safety, and there is also a water fountain and bowls for thirsty dogs. This park doesn't separate dogs by sizes, so if your dog loves to play with dogs of all sizes, this is a good spot to bring them.
Fishtown

Fishtown

The neighborhood of Fishtown got its name for being the hub of the fishing industry in Philadelphia for a long time, but now it's also gained a reputation for its excellent arts, dining, and entertainment industries. It's also a good place to be a pup, because it has its own dog park called the Triangle Dog Park! This trendy park is surrounded by an art-filled wall and features quirky furniture for humans to sit on while their dogs have a blast together. The park also hosts Yappy Hour dog meet-ups occasionally, so keep an eye out for those events if that sounds like something you and Rover would enjoy.
