Mill Stream Run
North Royalton’s Mill Stream Run Neighborhood features a number of great activities you can enjoy with a four-legged friend! Take a leisurely walk around Memorial Park in the center of town: it has scenic walking trails, a picnic area, and a small pond in the center. For some more great park choices you can head to York Road, along which you’ll find Aukerman Park, York Road Recreation Field, and York Road Picnic Area. Aukerman park is a small community park on the south side of town, and York Road Recreation Field and Picnic Area offer a wide-open space to have fun with your dog.

Shenandoah Parkway
The neighborhood of Shenandoah Parkway is just a few miles from North Royalton, and it is one of the best locations for dog owners in the area. If you are visiting, be sure to stop by Brunswick Dog Park on Cross Creek Drive. It is a fenced, off-leash dog park that features a small shaded area, seating, and picnic tables. Just note that you’ll have to bring your own water. Another great park in the area is Hopkins Park. While this is an on-leash park, it is still a nice place for a walk outside. It features a walking path, athletic fields, and a playground.

Foltz Parkway
Foltz Parkway in Strongsville lies to the west of North Royalton, and it is a fantastic neighborhood for those traveling with furry paws. There are some nice parks on the east side of town: Foltz and Volunteer Parks both offer a nice space for a relaxing walk outside. There are also some nice options for restaurants in the area that have dog-friendly outdoor seating. Slim and Chubby’s on Prospect Road has delicious American cuisine such as chicken wings, cheesesteaks, and burgers. Another choice is Brew Kettle Taproom and Smokehouse; they serve craft beer which can be enjoyed with savory dishes from their kitchen.

Downtown Berea (Downtown)
Berea is under ten minutes from North Royalton, and it is definitely a place you’ll want to spend some time in if you’re traveling through the area wit your dog. Head to Wallace Lake Park to enjoy the natural beauty of Ohio. The park rests between Wallace and Baldwin Lakes, and has trails through the woods that you can explore—just note that dogs aren’t permitted on the lakefront beach. When you’re done you can head to Sweet Mango, a restaurant serving delicious Thai cuisine that has dog-friendly outdoor seating. Or try Mike’s Bar and Grill nearby for hearty American classics.

Oxford Heights
The neighborhood of Oxford Heights is located south of North Royalton, and it is a place you’ll want to check out if you enjoy experiencing nature—or if you’re just looking for a beautiful setting for a walk outside. The highlight of this neighborhood is undoubtedly Princess Ledges Nature Preserve. This park covers and area of nearly fifty acres, so you will have a lot to explore! The preserve is mostly an undisturbed forest environment, but there are a couple different trails you can choose from as well as restroom facilities. Dogs are welcome on the trails as long as they remain leashed.
