Tonopah
Spend a day out at Pocket Park with your pup. The park doesn't have any grass, but it does offer a covered picnic area, benches, and a paved walking trail to walk along. The Joe Friel Sports Complex is a great park to take a walk in with your dog. The park has workout equipment that you can use while walking and a few picnic tables. Henderson Park is a dogtastic park to use for a great hike. Take a walk along a packed dirt trail for a pawtastic stroll with your leashed pup.36

Round Mountain
If you're looking for a challenging hike then check out the Mount Jefferson Trail. This 18-mile trail offers a 6,128-foot elevation gain on a loop style route type. The trail is not popular among locals, so if you're looking for some solitude, then this is the trail to pick. While hiking, you will cross some creeks where you can stop for a splash, and there are even nearby hot springs. The trail is dog-friendly and does not require your pup to be on a leash. This trail is 49-miles out of Tonopah, and sits on the outskirts of Round Mountain on the Mount Jefferson South Summit.24

Southwest Tonopah
Enjoy a hike with your furry pal on the Lone Mountain. This mountain is the 98th prominent mountain in Nevada and is a difficult hike to climb. The elevation gain for this hike is 9,112-feet with a prominence of just over 3,800-feet. You will hike on an out and back route along a packed dirt trail, so you don't have to do the entire elevation if you and Fido get a bit tired. Make sure to bring plenty of water with you along this hike since there isn't a lot of shade available.

Dyer
Explore the Boundary Peak Wilderness with your furry pal by your side. This area is located in the Inyo National Forest, and is filled with great hiking trails that the two of you can use for a great day of exercise together. Check out the Boundary Peak and hike along the 8-mile trail together. You two will feel the burn on this trail with a 9,874-foot elevation. If you reach the summit of this hike, you will be rewarded with an amazing view of both California and Nevada since the mountain borders the two states. Located in Dyer, and 65 miles out of Tonopah, this adventure will be a great one.
