We are new to the area and had to switch from our previous dog walker who could no longer commute to our new place. I was reluctant trying someone new at the last minute without our boy meeting them first but Lisa was amazing! It s as if he s known her forever! We forgot to turn on the AC before leaving so I quickly messaged her and she was able to do it when she got in. Very responsive and our boy seems to love her. I can t recommend her enough :)

East Hill
East Hill neighborhood has a suburban feel with so many choices for shopping and things to do. Overpeck County Park is located in this neighborhood, and has over 800 acres of recreational area for you and your pup. The park has numerous walking paths, picnic areas, and a dog run. The Henry Hoebel Dog Run has a separate area for small dogs, and visitors are known to share toys and water with a new friend. Overpeck has more than its share of visitors, but there is always more to do. Nature paths, and playgrounds make this park a popular destination for dogs and their families. Sylvan Park is closeby, and is a dwarf compared to Overpeck, but still is a destination for a picnic or barbecue with your four-legged companion.

Downtown
Downtown is just packed with people, shopping, and fine restaurants. A cluster of dog-friendly restaurants makes going downtown doggone attractive. Baumgart’s Cafe at 45 E. Palisades has outdoor tables and international cuisines. Biddy O’Malley’s at 36 North Van Brunt Street has 6 outdoor tables for some dog-friendly dining. Sofia has some fine steak dinners served at dog-friendly outdoor tables. Troy’s Trims & Treats at 85 West Englewood Avenue does some pupperfect shampooing and gives a dog going downtown a splash of style. McKay Park at Englewood Avenue has 28 acres of urban open space for dogs to take a walk with their human companion.

Englewood Cliffs
Englewood Cliffs is less than 2 miles east of Englewood. The Palisades Parkway and the Englewood Boat Basin have fishing, boat access, and a scenic area for get aways for picnics and barbecues. Dogs must stay on-leash, but a chance to be with a favorite human makes for a fun and worthwhile day. Englewood Cliffs also has a farm-to-kitchen, dog-friendly restaurant, Central Kitchen. It has more than a half dozen outdoor tables for you and your pup. The menu includes American and Italian food, as well as sandwiches. It is open for lunch and dinner.
Ridgewood
Ridgewood is 12 miles north of Englewood. The Ridgewood Bark Park, located at 251 E. Ridgewood Avenue, has separate areas for small and large dogs. The dogs are happy, but onsite water would be an improvement. There are some pieces of agility equipment, and dogs can get dusty rolling in a mx of dirt and pea gravel. It’s Greek to Me on 21 E. Ridgewood Avenue has dog-friendly outdoor dining. Village Green at 36 Prospect Avenue offers some American food served in dog-friendly outdoor seating. Ben & Jerry’s at 104 Franklin makes a great summer stop over for a perfect dessert.
