Yeah, with the heat he moves slower. Poor guy. If you want to switch to playing fetch in the backyard instead of a walk that s fine to or you can split it in half. I trust your judgement. Also, O got him a water bottle. It s by his shoes and poop bags. It has a red top and stainless steel, if you want to take it with you on walks. It s heavy though

Park Ridge Maine Park is a residential neighborhood located in the northwest part of the city. This area features a few lakes, community parks, and access to a forest preserve. When you want to give your pup some time to play with other four-footed friends, take him to Paws Park on W Oakton Avenue. An annual membership is required, and dogs need to be current on vaccinations to use this park. If you'd rather go for a walk alone with your special pal, head to the Wildwood Nature Center on W Sibley Street. There's a paved walking trail here that allows leashed dogs.

In the Park Ridge Central neighborhood, you'll find a commercial corridor, residential streets, some schools, and a few community parks. You can walk your pooch on the sidewalks past single-family homes in this area. When you want to enjoy some green space with your special pal, head over to Centennial Park located on S Western Avenue. This facility includes open fields and a walking trail that loops around the playground, athletic fields, and a pool. Go for a walk or jog here with your furry friend. Dogs are permitted to join you as long as they're on a leash and you pick up their waste.

Southwest Woods

The neighborhood of Southwest Woods is a largely residential neighborhood that borders the a large forest preserve. This is a puptastic place to go exploring with your pooch. Head over to Dam No. 4 Woods-East and hike through this natural area. There are several trails that you and your canine companion can hike along to get some exercise and fresh air. Pack a lunch and grab a picnic at one of the tables here. Dogs can join you in the preserve as long as you keep them on a leash and you clean up after them. Remember to bring some water with you.

Southwest Park

Southwest Park

A densely populated neighborhood, Southwest Park includes residential streets where you and Fido can go for a stroll. If you want to get out in nature, head west to the Forest Preserves of Cook County. South Dee Road cuts through this woodland area. Wander among the trees or along the Des Plaines River with your canine companion here. There's a hiking trail that you and your special pal can use. Dogs are allowed to accompany you in this area provided they're restrained on a leash. This is a pack in, pack out area, so bring waste bags and water with you.

The area around Park Ridge - Broadway is mostly residential with single family homes. In this area, you can take your canine pal for a stroll along neighborhood sidewalks or walk around the perimeter of South Park off W Talcott Road. When you want to explore nature, head to the Chippewa Woods Forest Preserve on South River Road.  This green space includes a fishing lake and picnic area where you and Fido can enjoy a meal and some fresh air.  Dogs are allowed here as long as you keep them on a leash. Remember to bring along water and waste bags to pick up any messes.
