Downtown Pembroke Pines offers access to plenty of dining, shopping and entertainment for humans and pups! Johnson Street Dog Park is a newly renovated park that is a well-known place for pets and their owners to gather and play. It features two separate play areas according to dogs’ size, as well as various obstacles to go through. There are also benches for owners to relax and watch. This park is also home to the Annual Bow-Wow Ween Costume Contest! Hurricane Grill & Wings, Viet Taste Restaurant, and Sosta Cafe are a few of the many dog-friendly eateries in Pembroke Pines.

Miramar

Miramar is conveniently located off the Ronald Regan Turnpike and just 2 miles south of Pembroke. City Park has plenty of open space and walking paths that can be used by leashed dogs and their owners here and at Miramar Regional Park. Miramar Regional Park is a 173-acre park that consists of many amenities like a fitness station, 2 baseball fields, 2 basketball courts, 2 cricket fields, 4 pavilions, 6 soccer fields and an aquatics complex! Cooper City

Cooper City is a family-friendly neighborhood that is located just 4.5 miles north east of Pembroke and near plenty of dining, shopping and entertainment. Tree Tops Park is 23 acres and consists of restored freshwater marshes that are accessible by a 1,000-foot boardwalk to the 102.2-acre Pine Island Ridge, an archaeological site that includes nature trails. At 29 feet above sea level, Pine Island Ridge is the highest natural elevation in the area! The island allows leashed dogs, and strongly urges all owners clean up after their pooches because it is a nature preserve. Cooper City is surrounded by pet hospitals and clinics including Cooper City Animal Clinic, Camelot Animal Hospital and Boarding Clinic, and Wags n’ Tail Animal Hospital to name a few.

About 7 ½ miles north of Pembroke, Davie, Florida offers a ton of dog friendly activities and events in the area! Plantation Heritage Park is an 88.5-acre park that used to be an agricultural experiment station. The site now allows humans and leashed dogs to enjoy the abundant tropical flowering trees and palms throughout the park. The park also has several trails, a lake, and a tropical fruit grove that you and your leashed Fido can discover together! The best part of this gorgeous park is their off-leash, fenced-in doggie park that provides five acres with three activity areas, free leash run, and an agility course!
