What better way to spend a day with your dog than at the lake? Instead of going to a park or driving to the beach, head to Alma Lake on N Wekiwa Spring Road. Although this entire area is residential, its welcoming atmosphere will make your walk extremely pleasant. Every road has a sidewalk where you will see many people walking with their children and their dogs. End your day by sitting at the edge of the lake with your dog. Just make sure you take your own doggie poop bags, water, snacks and leash! You are guaranteed to have a pawsome time!

Tangerine
Because there are not a lot of dog parks in the area, pet owners in Tangerine often hold pet meetups so their beloved pooches can socialize with each other. However, if you are not ready to meet new people through a website, you can always head to East Tangerine Park. This park is spread over 3 acres. It has a playground for children, footpath around the park and plenty of open grassy spaces. If you want your dog to run free, try going to the park in the morning when everyone else is sleeping. The park also has plenty of shade so you do not need to worry if it’s a hot summer day!

Bay Ridge
When you're not at the beach or lounging by the pool, take your dog to Sandhill Preserve in the neighborhood of Bay Ridge. This park has been classified as a rare habitat so you are guaranteed to see some extraordinary wildlife. Unfortunately this is not an off-leash park so you will have to take a leash, water and your own doggie poop bags. However, since the park is over 80 acres in size, you will get plenty of exercise walking through it on one of the many trails. Because there are so many natural water reserves all over Florida, there is a lack of parks. Who needs parks when you have lakes and the entire ocean? Well, luckily the residents of Plymouth have access to one of the few dog parks in the entire city. Doctor's Dog Park is a large dog park that is separated by dog size. It also has many open, grassy spaces where dogs are free to run and play. Furthermore, because the park is so popular, you and your dog are bound to make plenty of new friends! And don't forget, you can leave the leash at home.
Altamonte Springs
If you are willing to drive a mere 12 miles to Altamonte Springs, you will have access to two new parks. One park, Crane's Roost Park, is a beautiful park with a large, pet-friendly walkway. It also has many doggie poop bags and water fountains. Another park in the area you can check out is Sanlando Park. This park not only has plenty of open grassy areas and shaded areas but also has athletic courts. The trail is always bustling with people so you are bound to make some new friends.
