Miller's and Main
In the Miller’s and Main neighborhood in Edwards, 17 miles east of Eagle, you and your pup can enjoy a relaxing day at Freedom Park. Begin by letting your pawtastic pup burn off some energy at the fenced, off-leash dog park. There are several acres of fun where Fido can romp with newfound friends! Next, why not head to the lake which offers a great day of fishing and relaxation for you both? If you wish to take your pup for a hike, jump on the Eagle Valley Trails which begins here. Restrooms are on site.

Eagle Ranch
In the Eagle Ranch neighborhood of Eagle, you and your pawtastic pup will enjoy hiking at its best. Here you will find the Hernage Gulch Trail, rated as easy and perfect for all pup-abilities. The trail winds its way for three miles along Hernage Creek, and through groves of Aspen trees. This trail is open only to hikers, so it is the perfect place to take Fido for a stroll. You will be able to view old settlement ruins at the end of your hike. Be sure to pack plenty of water to share and keep your pup on a leash.

Fulford
A short 18 miles southeast of Eagle, in the town of Fulford, is where people and pups frequent the New York Mountain Trail. This hiking trail has spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, so it is a great place to enjoy the day with your pawtastic friend. The trail is listed as moderately difficult, runs for 4 ½ miles, and there is an elevation gain, so plan accordingly. This higher altitude climb is perfect for those more athletic pups. Be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks and a camera to remember this day with your fur-ever friend.

South Eagle
The South Eagle neighborhood, of the town of Eagle, offers the Sylvan Lake State Park to pups and people from all over the state. There are 1,548 acres to explore, so pack up your pup and take him on the trails that meander throughout. These trails are of various lengths and difficulty, so you can find one suitable to any skill level. Love to fish? The park’s 42-acre lake beckons beginners or experts. Take your pole and catch some dinner to share with your pawtasitc friend. Fido can even cool himself in the waters on leash here! Restrooms are provided.

Terrace
In the Terrace neighborhood of the town of Eagle, you and your fur-ever friend will love visiting Eagle Town Park. Chock full of family-fun activities, there are sports courts and playgrounds, and summer concerts are held here. Your pup will enjoy the open grassy areas to romp on leash, and can play in the waters of the Eagle River which runs alongside the park. Rafters and kayakers can put in their boats here, so why not take Fido for a water cruise? Lots of picnic tables are situated under the shade of tall trees, perfect to enjoy lunch together.
