North Lawndale
North Lawndale is a friendly neighborhood where dog owners can find plenty of great activities to enjoy with their furry friend, and it is home to many of the city’s parks. Rudolph Park on Larch Avenue is a good location for a pleasant stroll. While the park is relatively small, it does have a nice walking trail. Another park to visit in North Lawndale is Jane Addams Park — it is a small community park that has a walking path, horseshoe pits, and more! Finally, you’ll definitely want to stop by Rogers-Anderson Park if you are accompanied by your dog — it is Lawndale’s largest park at nearly eight acres.

South Lawndale
South Lawndale is one of the area’s most treasured neighborhoods because of its laidback atmosphere and beautiful scenery. This charming neighborhood is a great destination to explore on foot with your canine companion. If you’re in the area with your dog, consider taking a walk around William Green Park. This park, located on 168th Street, is one of the local community’s most favored parks, and that’s no surprise! Not only does the park have multiple playgrounds, a walking path, and picnic facilities, but there are also community rooms and even a horseshoe pit. It is a very popular location in South Lawndale, so you’re bound to run into some friendly local pooches as well.

Redondo Villas
The neighborhood of Redondo Villas lies to the west of Lawndale, and it is a wonderful destination for people accompanied by furry friends. Start exploring the area at Anderson Park, a twelve-acre park on Ernest Avenue that features a pleasant walking path, a senior center, basketball and tennis courts, and more! Another nice place for a stroll outside is Dale Page Park. This park is on the smaller side — just over an acre — but it is nicely shaded and has benches all around. For a sweet treat, head to Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt nearby: they have dog-friendly outdoor seating, so you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful California weather!

North Redondo
North Redondo, resting to the southwest of Lawndale, is one of the best neighborhoods in the area for dog owners. There is a lot to do in this neighborhood: to start, you can take a stroll around Perry Park. It is over four acres, and it has benches and picnic areas. Another park nearby is Andrews Park. This small park is just over an acre, and it is a good place for a relaxing afternoon walk. If you’re near North Redondo, you’ll certainly want to stop by Redondo Beach Dog Park as well! It is a fenced off-leash dog park that encompasses over three acres, and it has separate large and small dog areas.
Central Hermosa Beach Sand
Central Hermosa Beach Sand is a welcoming beachfront neighborhood to the west of Lawndale, and it is definitely a destination you’ll want to explore, especially if you’re in the mood for a delicious meal outside! There are many restaurants with dog-friendly outdoor seating in this neighborhood, so you can be sure you’ll find one you like. Boardwalk Burgers is a local favorite for tasty American-style classics; Hermosa Beach Fish Shop has you covered if you love seafood; and Java Man is a small, friendly café where you can hear the talk of the town while you sip a warm beverage and snack on a home-baked treat!
