Caldwell is a charming neighborhood in west Benton, and there are lots of things to do there with a furry friend! The City of Benton Dog Park can be found in this neighborhood, making it a top destination for dog owners in the area. The dog park has everything you could ask for: small- and large-dog areas, agility equipment, benches, and even water fountains! You can also stop by Bernard Holland Park which is right next to the dog park. This park is over 35 acres and contains concession stands, playgrounds, and athletic fields, however, your dog will have to stay on their leash.

Downtown Benton

Downtown Benton

Downtown Benton is a robust neighborhood that is a terrific setting for a promenade with your pooch. East Street, whose small mom-and-pop shops and flower beds divide the city’s east and west sides, is a great location to begin exploring the neighborhood on foot. You will probably want to stop by Tyndall Park for a stroll around the grounds which span nearly 25 acres. The park is maintained well by the local community, and it also has a concession stand, two gazebos, three pavilions, and more! There is also a small, one-block park on Main Street that you can check out, Bart Owens-Randy Mooney Memorial Park.

Bryant is a city to the east of Benton that is known for its small-town charm and friendly community, and despite its modest size it is definitely a great location for people traveling through the area with their dogs. There are lots of things to do in the downtown section of Bryant, like taking a walk around Ashley Park on South Oak Street. You can also snack on some of the best food in the area at Paula Lynn’s Kitchen on 3rd Street. There you can find everything from burgers and crinkle fries to irresistible homemade baked goods, and you can also find dog-friendly seating outside!

Mills Park is an area to the east of Benton and north of Bryant, and it is named after the large park that makes up most of the neighborhood. The park encompasses over eighty acres, making it a furrific destination to explore with your canine companion! The park has a large nature trail that runs through the forest, a great setting for a walk. Other features that make this park so popular are its swimming pool, concession building, multiple pavilions, and restrooms. Another park you’ll want to check out in this neighborhood is Alcoa 40 Park, which contains Bryant Barkway Off-Leash Trail. Within the boundaries of the half-mile trail, dogs are allowed to be off their leash!

South Alexander

South Alexander

South Alexander is an inviting neighborhood to the east of Benton in the town of Alexander. Crooked Creek forms the neighborhood’s natural western border, and it is a good place to begin your tour through the area. Head east along Brookwood Road and Azalea Drive to observe the natural splendor of suburban Arkansas; birch and oak trees line surround the charming houses lining the street, and if you turn down Birch Drive you’ll end up at Woodland Hills Park. This park is truly a hidden gem, and it provides a nice setting for a relaxed stroll with your pup. The park has a small playground and basketball court.
