Pucks and Paws
If you love hockey almost as much as you love your fur-baby, then we have the event for you! Root for the San Antonio Rampage with your best pooch at Pucks and Paws night! A tradition for over 10 years, Pucks and Paws is an annual Rampage hockey game at the AT&T Center in downtown San Antonio. Human tickets start at $10, while dog tickets are $5 per pet. It's bound to be a night out that your pupper won't forget!24
Fiesta Pooch Parade
A long-running Alamo Heights community tradition, the Fiesta Pooch Parade howls with fun and excitement. The roughly 2.5-mile parade route provides an adventure for you and your pup as they pose for the "puparazzi" in their Fiesta-themed ensemble. There's also a doggie costume contest to spice up the colorful canine parade. All proceeds from the Fiesta Pooch Parade benefit San Antonio area pet programs.12
Bark in the Park
A benefit for San Antonio area pet shelter and rescue groups, Bark in the Park is an afternoon of fun in the sun for you and your pooch. Boasting the largest dog costume contest in the United States, the dog-centric event includes human-friendly activities including food trucks, music, a kids' zone, and much more. Admission to the event is free. Costume contest registration is $7 in advance and $10 on the day.
Poochamania
A collaborative effort between the San Antonio Humane Society and Alpha Media, Pawchella is a day for dogs to enjoy the afternoon while their humans learn pet ownership education. The costume contest is always a hit, and the day also includes adoptable dogs from the local humane society. The event is free but welcomes donations, which will be used to help San Antonio Humane Society. So come on out, learn some new things, and support a great cause!
