Rockwall Dog Days
Rockwall Parks and Recreation hosts a yearly event to celebrate the dogs of the town each June. This event, called Rockwell Dog Days, features a play area for dogs and some fun activities for you and your pooch to participate in. There will also be food trucks on-site with great eats that you won’t want to miss out on, so show up hungry!
The focus of this event is the free pet registration and low-cost vaccination and microchipping clinic for all City of Rockwall residents.
Cats are also welcome to receive vaccinations, but they must be kept in a crate.

Dallas Pet Expo
Bring your pupper out for the annual Dallas Pet Expo each May! During this weekend-long event, you and your dog will be able to socialize with other canine enthusiasts and their pooches, as well as shop for some great pet-related products, watch fun and informative demonstrations, and learn about all kinds of different pet topics.
The event features free nail trims, discounted vaccinations, heartworm and flea prevention, and microchipping, and tons of giveaways for both humans and canines!

Lee Park Pooch Parade
Celebrate Easter with your four-legged friends this spring during the annual Lee Park Pooch Parade in Dallas! The parade takes place along the Turtle Creek parade route, which starts at Lee Park. Don’t forget to dress up your pup (and even the human members of your group) for a chance to win prizes in the costume contest, which will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges.
Registration prices are based off of the number costume entries. Advanced registration is $10 per entry, while day-of registration is $15. While children are allowed to participate, each entry must be accompanied by at least one adult.

Bark in the Park at Dr. Pepper Ballpark
Enjoy an afternoon of baseball with your pooch at the Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The Bark in the Park event allows dog owners to bring their pooch to the baseball game with them, while still being able to socialize and enjoy all kinds of great ballpark snacks! There will also be contests and face painting, as well as a pet talent show and demonstrations.
Tickets cost $15 each, and a portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection, who will also be at the ballpark to provide low-cost paperwork, shots, and microchips for any dog in need.
Barktoberfest
The Dog Moms of Dallas host an annual October event called Barktoberfest! This fun event is held at the Shacks Dining and Dog Park, where you and your pooch will be able to take fun, fall-themed photographs with the help of a professional photographer. You can also enjoy a free caricature drawing of your pet between 11 am and 1 pm! Get a little messy with paw paintings and a puppy pie eating contest, too.
Vendors will be on-site with all kinds of pet-related goods as well.
The event runs from 10 am to 2 pm on a Sunday in October each year. Admission is just $5, and all proceeds go to Bullluvable Paws and Chiwawas.
