Ride for the Animals
Join the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach every September for the annual Ride for the Animals Poker Run. There will be six different stops along the ride, but the event starts at the Harley Davidson Shop on Highway 17 in North Myrtle Beach at 10 a.m. for registration.
Pre-registration prices are $20 per hand, but on the day of the event, each hand will cost $25. There will also be door prizes, raffles, and 50/50. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach.
Other sponsors include California Dreaming, Captain Archie’s, Jay’s of Little River, Harley’s Roadhouse, Boardwalk Billy’s and Oscar’s. The ride will take you to each of these destinations.

Fetch Me If You Can
Bring your pup to Conway Dog Park each November for the annual Fetch Me If You Can Doggie Fun Run, a two-mile run around Lake Busbee. Come early and stay late to give your dog the opportunity to meet and mingle with other dogs at the event.
The first 50 participants of the day will receive a swag bag that contains a collectable bandana for your dog and all kinds of other goodies from local vendors.
The event is managed and sponsored by Coastal Carolina University students, and proceeds to go the Recreation and Sport Management department of the school.
General admission is $30, Grand Strand Running club members pay $27, and Coastal Carolina University students pay $25. Be there at 9 a.m. the day of the race.

Living Large Party Barge
Who doesn’t love spending a day out on the water? Would it be even better if you could bring your four-legged pals with you? Well, with Living Large Party Barge, you can spend the day on the ocean with all your friends and family on chartered boat adventures!
Living Large Party Barge offers four different packages available, including a custom option. Tours range from two to four hours, and up to six people are allowed on the barge.
Living Large Party Barge does ask that you let them know you if you want to bring your dog when you book the barge.

Huntington Beach State Park
Bring your dog down to Huntington Beach State Park to spend the day with your family enjoying the water. While the north end of the beach prohibits pets, they are welcome on the south end of the beach year-round, as long as they are on a leash.
You can even camp in the state park, so grab some dog food, a water bowl, and a tent, and head out to your favorite camping spot near the ocean! Reservations are required, and dogs may not be allowed in all camping areas, so double check before you book.
