Dog Days of Summer Oregon Coast Beer Fest
Calling all dog owners who love beer, and beer drinkers who love dogs! This two-day festival brings together dogs, live music, and local brews for a celebration you don't want to miss! Taking place at Rogue Ales & Spirits Newport location, the festival features the handcrafted beers of breweries from all over the Oregon coastline. Leashed, crowd-friendly doggos are encouraged to attend and participate in loads of doggie activities and competitions for pawsome prizes! Canine contests include Musical Sit, Cutest Wag, Dog/Owner Look-Alike, and Doggie Olympics! Bring all the two and four-legged member of your family for a tail-waggin' good time!36
Boomer Bash Dash
Take a short drive over to South Beach for the annual Boomer Bash Dash! This fun run for people and their pets benefits the medical fund of the Lincoln County Animal Shelter. Bring your friendly, well-mannered pup along on a 6-foot leash to participate in a 0.5, 1.5, or 2-mile course featuring obstacles and agility equipment for your adventurous animals! The event takes place at Wilder Dog Park, where waves of runners (or walkers) will depart for the course every 15 minutes. Not up for the running route? Hang out near the DJ station and enjoy a doggie agility course, canine costume contest, and lots of pooch playtime! Come on out to Wilder Dog Park and move your paws for a cause!24
Agate Beach State Recreation Site
Bring your furry friend along for a day of fun, swimming, sand, and sun! Agate Beach State Recreation Site offers ocean access, large sandy beaches, and stunning coastal views! The 18-acre state recreation site provides restrooms, a picnic area, and a large parking lot. The beach access trail runs from the parking lot through a tunnel under old highway 101 and opens up right onto the sand! There is even a freshwater stream on-site to wash off in the end of your beach day. Breathe in the salty air or dig for clams while your pup sprints through the sand, swims in the sea, and gets in that much-needed exercise!

Wilder Dog Park
This 0.7-acre dog park is the perfect place to play with your pooch! The off-leash area is securely fenced and features a double-gated entryway for safety, fresh water for hydration on hot days, agility equipment to engage your pup, and a doggie waste station stocked with bags. The dog park is located on 40th Street right by the Oregon Coast Community College and is maintained by the City of Newport. The park is lined with mulch rather than grass, so be prepared to bring home a muddy dog on wetter days! All in all, Wilder Dog Park gets the paw print of approval from the city's rover residents!Dog Film Festival
Head on down to the Bijou Theatre in nearby Lincoln City, OR for the annual Dog Film Festival! This traveling event tours the country celebrating the love between dogs and people! Enjoy a medley of animated, documentary, and live-action short films from around the world featuring the 4-legged friends we know and love. Each film illuminates the beautiful relationship between pets and people. Entry to the event is $10 and a portion of the proceeds benefit the lifesaving efforts of the Lincoln County Animal Shelter. Bring your canine companion along for no extra charge and enjoy a pet-friendly movie date!
