Doogie Dash

Every May, Arrowhead Charities hosts the Arrowhead Doggie Dash 5k and Dog Walk. Join other dog owners and dogs for a run around Lee Lake! The course is flat and beautiful.

The morning dog walk begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by the 5k at 9 a.m. An afternoon walk will also be held at 1 p.m.

Registration can be done online or in person at Arrowhead Veterinary Clinic. Sign up early to be guaranteed an event T-shirt!

Entry into each race is $25 per person. Multiple fees are applied if you wish to participate in more than one event. Up to three dogs are allowed per person.

Canine Carnivale

In conjunction with the Doggie Dash held each May, the Canine Carnivale also rolls into town. Friendly for both children and dogs, the Canine Carnivale is great fun for the whole family!

All morning, the Pet Fair will be held at Cooper Dog Park. Food trucks will be there providing scrumptious eats for guests. Participate in games or browse through vendor booths to pick out the perfect treat for your dog for after the run. And don’t forget to enter the doggie costume contest!

Admission into the Pet Fair is free, but all dogs must be leashed, and children shouldn’t be left unattended.

Money raised during the Canine Carnivale benefits Cooper Dog Park.

Dog Days of Summer Pool Party

Don’t miss out on the most anticipated swimming event of the year in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Each August, dogs take over the Frontier Pool for an afternoon on a Sunday!

For just $5, your pooch can spend the day swimming to celebrate the final pool day of the summer. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., your dog can play with other local dogs and splash around in the water to keep cool. Owners are not charged for swimming.

This event is sponsored by Bark Park Buddies. All proceeds go toward helping maintain Cooper Dog Park.

All dogs who attend must be able to swim.

Woofstock

Take the short drive to Tulsa for the annual Woofstock event each September. As the grooviest pet adoption event in Oklahoma, you won’t want to miss out on all the fun that happens at Woofstock!

Spend the day enjoying live music, browsing pet vendors and businesses, and eating delicious food from local food trucks! Sign up for pet contests where your dog can take home fun prizes.

Over 40 rescue organizations and animal shelters will be on-site with adoptable pets.

Admission to the event is free, but $20 microchipping will be available at the event and $5 ID tags will be available from Oklahoma Alliance for Animals.

ARF’s Puttin’ On The Leash

ARF’s annual Puttin’ On The Leash event is held every December at the Johnstone-Sare Building in Bartlesville as a fundraising event for the organization to continue to help animals in need.

Kick the evening off at 6 p.m. with the Yappy Hour event featuring a cash bar and tasty appetizers. Following the Yappy Hour, a catered dinner will be served. There will be a video presentation during the event, as well as a live auction hosted by Roger Skelly. Check out the silent auction and bid on great items. The night wraps up at 9 p.m.

Tickets are $65 per person and seats are limited.
