review

Lily was a nervous wreck coming into her first boarding experience. Ashley was so kind and gentle with her. Lily even got sick and got 3 baths and a diet change to help her get better all while we were away on vacation. It was great to know she would be cared for and she didn t even want to come home in the end lol

Skye was awesome! Lili was SO excited to see her and so happy for a walk. She came on time, greeted Lili like a pro, and brought her back happy and tired from her walk (: Will definitely book her again.

Tompkins County Dog Park

Tompkins County Dog Park opened in Ithaca in 2008 by the Tompkins County Dog Owner Group to provide a formal area for local dog owners to exercise their dogs. This nonprofit is dedicated to expanding recreational opportunities for dogs and their owners as well as promoting off-leash dog parks as an alternative to the overuse of sensitive natural areas. The park is on the Festival Lands adjacent to the Allen H Treman State Marine Park at the head of Cayuga Lake, an area already that has been used by locals for dog walking for some time. The park features separate areas for large and small dogs, a beach and swimming area exclusively for dogs, a composting system, solar lights, water spigots, and several seating areas. Additionally, there is access to a path leading to Cayuga Lake you can enjoy with leashed pets.

Six Mile Creek Vineyard

Ithaca is in the heart of the Finger Lakes region, an area known for its excellent grape-growing conditions. Though there are several vineyards to visit, Six Mile Creek Vineyard is a great destination that you can bring along your furry best friend to. Wine tastings here are both delicious and affordable! The vineyard began in 1983 and the winery first opened its doors in 1987. Six Mile Creek is open daily, year-round for tastings of their award-winning wines and spirits. If you bring your dog along, they will surely be showered with love and welcomed with open arms.

East Ithaca Recreation Way

The East Ithaca Recreation Way features 3.55 miles of paved trails to explore with your doggo! As a part of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, this recreation area was formerly a corridor of the Elmira Cortland and Northern Railroad from 1869. The trail is open year-round with winter maintenance, provides access to the picturesque Cornell University campus, and even runs through the Cornell Botanic Gardens and the Pine Tree Wildlife Preserve. Come enjoy the East Ithaca Recreation Way with your dog friends, but be sure to watch for bikes!

Buttermilk Falls State Park

Buttermilk Falls State Park is a fantastic place to visit with your canine friends in tow. Experience the awe-inspiring beauty of cascading waterfalls with your pal along steep, but well-kept trails. The upper park area features a lake along with woodland and gorge hiking trails, picnic areas, and playing fields. The lower park area features the campground, pool, playing fields, and a wetland trail. Leashed dogs are welcome throughout the park and on the trails, with the exception of swimming areas. There are even some cabins and campsites that welcome pets if you'd like to make a stay out of it! Don't miss this incredibly scenic destination that Ithaca has to offer.
