Circle of Trees and Dog Parade
Who needs Rudolph when Rover is so much more fun for Santa!Muskegon celebrates the holiday season with a circle of trees and dog parade in early December. Located at Walker Park, you can purchase a tree and decorate it! The trees may be sponsored by a family, club, or organization. Following the decorating of the trees, there is a Santa/Dog Parade, carolling, the lighting of the trees, and visits with Santa. Costumed canines waggle down the street dressed as Rudolph, Santa's elves, or just looking paw-some for all to enjoy in this lovely city and festive day.

Play for the Day at Norman F. Kruse Park
At the northern end of the Norman F. Kruse Park located on the shore of Lake Michigan, you will find an area that is open for dogs to romp and play on the beautiful white sand. While playing on the beach, the animal must be leashed. However, your hound can go off-leash to play in the water! There are two parking lots, nature trails, barrier dunes, accessible dune walkways, a playground, dune overlooks, picnic shelters, restrooms, and a basketball court at this beautiful "bark" overlooking Lake Michigan. Reviewers love the freedom of romping with their Rovers for a day of fun in the sun, sand, and surf!

Muskegon Farmer's Market
The Muskegon Farmer's Market first opened over 100 years ago, then re-opened in 1921. You can bring your dog to the common areas of the Muskegon Farmer's Market. Health laws do not allow the dogs in the areas that have produce or food, unless the animal is a service dog. The bustling market has entertainment and locally sourced products. You might be itching to visit the Tuesday Flea Markets to check out the wares for sale and socialize. The summer season is from May to November. Grab your leash and best friend to shop, stroll, people and pet watch!12
