River Rasin Halloween Festival
When you find yourself looking for some pup-ular entertainment during the month of October, make sure to check out the Howl-ween Festival held in Downtown Monroe. This spook-tacular event is held annually at 103 West Front Street. It takes place outdoors which means Fido can come along, as long as he is carefully looked after. Although your pup may not be able to enjoy everything offered, there are numerous activities for your family to enjoy while attending this event, including Haunted Carriage Rides, Trick-or-Treating, and live entertainment! Downton Monroe Tree Lighting
Each November, the city of Monroe holds a magnificent tree lighting ceremony. While it may be a little cold for some, you can easily warm up while doing the plethora of activites they have to offer you and your family. This event is held outdoors at Loranger Square and usually begins earlier in the day, leading up to the tree lighting ceremony that occurs in the evening. While you wait, you and your canine companion are able to putz around and enjoy the scenery, as well as the live entertainment. Be sure to bring the whole family out for the tree lighting ceremony and allow your little ones the chance to meet Santa!24
Annual River Raisin Labor Day BBQ Festival
Head on over to Historical Downtown Monroe, where you will find the best of times awaiting you and your puppy pal. Held annually, the city of Monroe throws a giant BBQ to show support for the hardworking citizens of their city. Although your furry friend is unable to join you in any shops or restaurants, this event is a great opportunity to hang with your pal outdoors. Live music plays all day while you shop through the vendors set up on the streets. A food court is also provided outdoors so that Fido can stay with you at all times. Put on your walking shoes and have a barking good time!12

Held each year as of recent, you are now able to take your beloved pooch to Petsmart for a meet and greet with the big man in red himself! Located at 2347 North Telegraph Road, Petsmart offers your pets, canine or feline, to come on down to meet Santa. Usually occurring during the weekend, your family will have a few different chances to get over there to get your picture taken. This event is complimentary for all pet owners and their families. You will want to be sure to get to this event with plenty of time, since it may be busy!
Dog-Friendly Dining
While there are many events that go on throughout the year in Monroe, there are also places that stay continuously dog-friendly. One of those is Sonic, the popular fast food, drive-in chain. This eatery has outdoor seating as well as areas to park your car and indulge. Your pup is allowed in both of these locations. When sitting outside during the warmer months, a staff member may just bring Fido some water or maybe even a small ice cream cone to include them in the meal!
