Tybee Island Dog Park
Dogs are not allowed on the beaches of Tybee Island, but that does not mean that the island and city do not have fun things to do with your beloved best friend! The island has a dog park that is a safe place for frisky play. The area is fenced with an off-leash dog run. There is also a seprate small dog area. Hot "dawgs" and their humans can savor the shade and relax on benches. Puppers and humans both appreciate the soft and clean mulch! You may have to pay to park to visit the "bark".48
Captain Mike's Dolphin Tours
Things could get exciting with tail wagging, fin flapping, dog barking and dolphin whistles on the Captain Mike's Dolphin Tours! You can take your seafaring spaniel for an afternoon of sailing that includes sightseeing and a chance to watch the dolphins play in the wild. You will sail past the Cockspur Lighthouse, Fort Pulaski, and Tybee Lighthouse. What an interesting and stimulating way to spend some time with your best friend!36
Fort Pulanski National Monument
Spend a day with your history hound at the Fort Pulanski National Monument! This is a beautiful place to take your pup for a walk and spend the day enjoying the trails, shade, benches, and architecture. Providing comfort to all, there are restrooms and water fountains. This national park has the history of military fortifications and was the site of Civil War battles. And talk about tails on the trails! The "bark" has a variety of trails giving you and your pooch an opportunity to explore the historic dyke system.24
Tybee Island Jetski and Watersports
You can rent a kayak and take your pooch with you for a paddling adventure off of Tybee Island! There are a couple of liveries who will work with you to take your dog for this very special water ride. Try the Tybee Island Jetski and Watersports to rent a Jetski or kayak. With their Aqua Dog program, they will train and outfit you for your ride with your Rover! There is also the North Island Surf and Kayak on the north end of the island. Tybee Island Pirate Fest
Argh, Mate! Save the date for some swash-buckling fun at the Tybee Island Pirate Fest! There are bouncy-castles and activities for kids. Check out the booty in the bazaar! Grab your eye patch, boots, and belts for some costume fun and maybe even enter one of the costume contests. The highlights for your Captain Canine are the contests and the Pirate Victory Parade. Treasure the time you can have with your friends (and four-legged best friend) at this weekend-long adventure!
Oliver Bentley's Historic Dog Walking Tour
You and your dog will enjoy the sights, smells, and sounds when you take the Oliver Bentley's Historic Dog Walking Tour. Oliver Bentley specializes in dog products and understands that "history is not just for humans"! The tours begin at the Historic Oglethorpe Square on Abercorn Street. The walk is less than one-mile and they walk at you and your dog's pace. You just might get to meet Oliver B., the sweet Cavalier who often sniffs around Savannah with your guide!
