Woofstock
Each September, the Smyrna Market Village hosts Woofstock, a party in the park. The Annual Woofstock party will be held in September. This weekend-long event is two full days of fun! Star 94.1 will be at Woofstock, too.
Woofstock is one of the biggest pet adoption events in the South, and with a full day of live music from local brands, pet demonstrations, food and drinks, and activities for children!
Admission to Woofstock is free. Animals of all kinds are welcome as long as they are leashed. This includes cats, dogs, birds, ferrets, and more.

St. Paw-trick’s Day Rescue Dog Olympics
Head over to Brook Run Dog Park in Dunwoody during the month of March for the St. Paw-trick’s Day Rescue Dog Olympics! This free event is a full afternoon of fun for the whole family. Adults can relax in the Green Beer Garden and eat tasty food, while the dogs can enjoy dog games and training sessions.
Meet with pet rescues and browse through dog-related vendor booths! Watch dog training demonstrations and catch the Greater Atlanta Dog and Disc Club Frisbee catch and fetch demos. There will also be a Dock Diving Dog competition and a Rescue Dog Fashion Show. Sign your dog up for the St. Paw-trick’s Day dog costume contest!

Decatur Run with the Dogs 5k
Head over to Decatur High School for the Decatur Run with the Dogs 5k event in January. In addition to the 5k run, there is also a new one-mile pup run that you can join!
The 5k run/walk starts at 9 am, while the new Pup Trot starts at 8:30 am.
Registration is $30 during the early registration time. Late registration is $35. Proceeds go to the Decatur Bulldog Boosters to help fund the sports programs at the Decatur High School and Renfroe Middle School. Teachers, staff, and students receive discounts on tickets.

WoodRuff Bark Halloween Dog Parade and Festival
Downtown Atlanta is home to the annual WoodRuff Bark Halloween Dog Parade and Festival at Woodruff Park on Peachtree Street. The event kicks off with a costumed pet parade featuring local animals. After the parade, there will be a costume contest prize ceremony to honor the dogs who are dressed the best in a variety of categories! Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, Best Homemade Costume, Best Owner/Pet Combo Costume, and Most Festive Foster. Prizes are sponsored by The Whole Dog Market.
After the ceremony, take your pet trick-or-treating and see the pet vendors, while listening to great music! Food and drinks will be provided by local restaurants.
Sandy Springs Festival Pet Parade
Since 1987, the Sandy Springs Festival has hosted the Pet Parade! The Pet Parade is free to enter, and prizes will be awarded in a variety of different categories. Categories include Most Unusual Pet, Coolest Trick, Celebrity Impersonator, and Best of Show. The People’s Choice category allows the audience to pick their favorite costume!
Day-of Registration begins at 9 am on Saturday and wraps up at 10 am at the Festival Main Stage. The parade will begin promptly at 10 am followed by the awards and prize ceremony at 11.
Don’t forget to attend the rest of the Sandy Springs Festival, including the Car Show, live music, the 10k and 5k races, and the Chalk Walk Art Competition.
