Alexandria is wonderful Pup sitter. She is extremely caring, warm, punctual and responsive. This was our first time leaving Lulu with a dog sitter outside of our house and she handled not really well. We loved her and most importantly Lulu loved her . WoodRuff Bark Halloween Dog Parade and Festival
The annual WoofRuff Bark Halloween Dog Parade and Festival is held each October in Downtown Atlanta. Starting on Peachtree Street, the event kicks off with a pet parade, featuring local pets dressed up in their favorite Halloween attire! After the parade, participants can be judged in the costume contest for a chance to win great prizes. Categories for the costume contest include Best in Show, Best Owner/Pet Combo Costume, Most Festive Foster, and more! All prizes are provided by The Whole Dog Market.
Take your pet trick-or-treating after the ceremony for a chance to take home some great goodies. There will also be pet vendors on-site with goods and services for your pets. Live music will keep you entertained throughout the event! Food and drinks will be provided by local restaurants.

Pup-a-Palooza
Each September, Pup-a-Palooza comes to John’s Creek. Head over to Newton Park’s Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater for a couple hours of fun with your dog. Enjoy live music and food from the Johns Creek Veterans Association! There will be treats available for dogs, as well as a few pet-related vendors who will be on-site selling some fun doggy goods and services.
Visit the caricature artist to get a fun drawing of you and your dog! Enter your dog in the Best Dress Dog and Best Dog Trick contests for a chance to win great prizes.

Decatur Run with the Dogs 5k
Decatur High School hosts the Decatur Run with the Dogs 5k event each January. In addition to the 5k run, there will be a new one-mile pup run added to the event this year.
The new Pup Trot begins at 8 am, while the 5k run walk is set to begin at 9 am.
During the early registration period, registration fees are just $30. Late registration fees are bumped up to $35. Teachers, staff, and students will receive a discounted rate on registration. Proceeds from the run go to the Decatur Bulldog Boosters to help fund sports programs at both the Decatur High School and Renfroe Middle School.

Rescue Dog Olympics
The Brook Run Dog Park in Duwoody is hosting the St. Paw-trick’s Day Rescue Dog Olympics in March. This event is free to attend and features fun activities for the whole family! While your dog is socializing with other local pups, adults can relax in the Green Beer Garden and enjoy great food. There will also be dog games and training sessions you and your pup can attend.
While you are at the event, meet with pet rescues and browse vendor booths selling all kinds of dog-related products!
There will also be training demonstrations that you can watch. The Greater Atlanta Dog and Disc Club Frisbee catch and fetch demonstration is sure to keep you entertained. There will also be a Dock Diving Dog competition and a Rescue Dog Fashion Show. Be sure to sign your dog up for the St. Paw-trick’s Day dog costume contest!
Woofstock
The Smyrna Market Village hosts a Woofstock celebration each September. Join Star 94.1 for a weekend-long event that is full of fun!
As one of the largest pet adoption events in the South, Woofstock will showcase numerous shelters and rescue groups from across the state. There will also be live music from local bands, as well as pet demonstrations, foods and drinks, and kids activities!
Admission to Woofstock is free. Animals of all kinds are welcome as long as they are leashed. This includes cats, dogs, birds, ferrets, and more.
