Pet Walk
A quick drive in the car toward St. Petersburg, Florida (just a few miles outside of Pinellas Park - only about ten minutes of head-out-the-window-time for Fido) and you and your pooch can join in for the SPCA Tampa Bay Pet Walk! This annual event lets you and your pup raise fund for the SPCA while enjoying a pawesome, pup-filled day in a beautiful city. You and your pooch can join a team, or walk on your own. Either way, your day will be filled with food, fun, four-legged friends, and plenty of pup activities!36
The Dog Bar
That's right, we said Dog Bar!It's a bar. For you and your dog - and a multitude of other dogs and their pawrents.
Unlike other bars that allow you to bring your pups to human-focused bars, this establishment is specifically built around your pups. While they make sure you and your human friends have things to do (like corn hole, ping pong, ski ball, and the like) the real focus is the off-leash, fenced in outdoor area where your friendly pup can splash through swimming pools, zig-zag through tunnels, and sprint up and down ramps. They even include cots for those sleepy pups who don't want to miss out on the action even if they need a quick puppy snooze. Even better, a Dog Park supervisor is on site at all times to make sure all the pooches are safe and getting along!

Fort De Soto Dog Beach
The Fort De Soto Dog Beach is the ultimate pooch paradise for you and your pup! With large, fenced-in areas for your pooch to run free (with separate small and large dog sections), your mutt can sprint through the sand, splash through the water, and sniff around with the other salty dogs in the park. Fort De Soto Park is the only beach in the area where you can bring your four-legged friend, and it has plenty to do for you and your two-legged pals, as well! With an old Spanish fort to explore, camping facilities, and water-sport amenities, you and your pups surely won't be bored. Unless you plan to camp in the park (where your pup can hang out, too), it will cost only $5 to enter the park.12
Tails and Ales Happy Hour
Beers and bow-wows - could it get any better? We don't think so! Join the Friends of Strays monthly pup gathering at Pinellas Ale Works for Yappy Hour (yeah, we love the pup-pun, too). From 6-8 pm, bring yourself and your dog-friends (you can bring your people pals, too) for delicious human treats - and even more delicious puppy kisses - provided by the Pet Loss Center. Pinellas Ale Works and The Pet Loss Center have teamed up for the event and will donate $1 from each beer sold to the Friends of Strays organization to help benefit the homeless pups on the streets of St. Pete. Don't miss out on Yappy Hour, and don't forget to bring your puppy-pal with you!
Puppy Bowl
This annual Superbowl event is back and bigger than ever!All the Pinellas pups and their pawrents will be there, so you don't want to miss out! Join in for a tail-gaiting and pup party this February. You and your pooch can witness the ultimate puppy bowl, see dogs in sports costumes, purchase crafts and goods from local vendors, and even adopt a new friend for your pooch! Don't miss this annual event hosted by the Humane Society of Pinellas County!
