Howl-o-Ween Pet Parade & Pumpkin Drop
Happy Howl-o-ween, doggo lovers! You and your pup are in for a trick-or-treat with this annual event. This doggie event is held every October in Panama City Beach at Alys Beach. You and your pup can dress up in costumes, parade around the beach, enter contests and even win a giant pumpkin filled with treats! It's only $5 for pups to participate in the event, and all proceeds will benefit the Alaqua Animal Refuge.36
Mardi Gras Pet Parade
Get the Mardi Gras Party started with your pooch in Panama City with the annual Kids & Pet Parade! You and your pup can enjoy a giant paw-rade of dressed up pups, and even be part of the fun! Then stick around after for some food and more good times. This two-day parade will feature food, drinks, music, and activities, with plenty of other pups for your four-legged friend to meet!24
Pup Parks
Panama City has plenty of pup parks for you and your pooch, each with its own set of unique qualities. Parks like Zollie Young Dog Park and Al Helms Dog Park are large, fenced-in, shaded dog parks where your pups can run around off-leash and free! There's plenty of thick, turf grass with trees, pick-up bags, and watering stations. Other parks, like Everett Avenue Dog Park, are separated, fenced-in parks with lots of leaves, trees, shade, and space for your pups to run!12
Santa Paws Photos
It wouldn't be Christmas without your pups - don't you think it's about time everyone knew it?If you're looking to photograph your pup with the big guy to get the picture perfect Santa Paws moment, fear not, there's plenty of opportunities in Panama City. One of these opportunities, hosted by the Dog Fanciers Association, encourages you to bring your pooch to the Greater Panama City Dog Club Building for photos with Santa and Mrs Claus! For just $10, you and your pooch will receive two 5x7 photos or one 8x10 photo, and CDs are available for an additional $5!
Dog Beach at Pier Park
If your tropical pooch can't stand missing a day at the beach with you, you're in luck. Panama City has a great dog beach where you and your pup can enjoy the sand and surf together. Just off to the right of the city pier, you and your doggo will find the city park designated to canines. Though you have to keep your pups on a leash, they'll have plenty of room to sniff and explore while meeting other pups in the area!
