She took amazing care of my dog from Friday to Monday and kept me updated the entire time with pictures and messages, which made me feel so comfortable and at ease. Howl-O-Ween at Pinecrest Gardens
Spooky, furry, and fluffy fun to benefit pets in need — that’s what you can expect at this annual Halloween celebration. Held at Pinecrest Gardens, this dog-friendly event is run to benefit homeless pets, with $1 from your $5 admission fee going to Paws 4 You Rescue. There’s the always-entertaining Doggie Fun Zone, costume contests judged by local celebrities, live entertainment, raffles, and of course trick-or-treating! Throw in a parade of dogs and a dog training demonstration and you’ve got one paw-fect howl-iday event for you and your furry friend.

Brunch for the Animals
Colorful flowers, birdsong in the trees, sweet smells everywhere, and a gourmet brunch for two-legged and four-legged attendees — welcome to Miami’s annual Brunch for the Animals! Held at Fontainebleau Miami Beach to benefit the Humane Society of Greater Miami, this springtime institution attracts 300 guests and their dogs each year to raise money for a grrr-eat cause. There’s a mouthwatering array of gourmet treats on offer for you and your dog, while pet-friendly shopping, a silent auction, and an exciting raffle will also keep you entertained. Best of all, the purpose of the whole event is to help the homeless pets of Miami, so you can feel good about indulging in a treat or two!

Walk for the Animals Miami
Looking for a good excuse to take your dog for a walk? The annual Walk for the Animals is just what you need. Held in March at Bayfront Park, this feelgood event sees 3,000 animal lovers and their dogs get together for a relaxing one-mile stroll in the park. You and your four-legged friend can enjoy a reward at the end of the walk as well, with a fun-filled morning of games, food, music, and dog-friendly activities awaiting you at the finish line. When you register for the walk, you get a t-shirt and goodie bag - and the chance to raise as much money as you can to benefit the Humane Society of Greater Miami.
Canine Film Festival
Do all your favorite movies involve dogs? Do you love watching talented canines light up the silver screen? If so, this is the event for you! Miami’s annual Canine Film Festival is a dog lover’s delight, showcasing a selection of paw-riffic doggy films. You can take your dog to the movies for a day, take in all the glitz and glamour of the Canine Fashion Show, and see who takes out the highly coveted Barker Awards. Then, at the after-party, there’s doggie yoga, a canine costume contest, and a sniff and greet with celebrity guests, so make sure you get in early to secure your tickets!
