We the Dogs DC Yappy Hour

Bring your dog to your next Happy Hour celebration with We the Dogs DC Yappy Hour! Get drinks from 6 to 8 p.m. on special days in November with We the Dogs DC at Maga Design, Inc. There will be plenty of time to enjoy drinks and social time with other dog owners in the D.C. area.

Maga’s designers will be on site to provide custom pet portraits for just $15. This $15 is a donation that will benefit the Puppy Rescue Mission, a local non-profit. Puppy Rescue Mission brings home the “battle buddies” of military men and women who are deployed overseas. They also help rehome stray dogs from Afghanistan.

Admission is free, but if you want a pet portrait, you will be required to pay a $15 donation. You will need to select a portrait session as well.

Humane Rescue Alliance Holiday Toy and Treat Drive

If you are interested in helping dogs in the Washington D.C., area this holiday season, join the Human Rescue Alliance and other local organizations to collect items they need to care for the homeless pets of D.C. Gather up any new toys, treats, and foods off of the wish lists from shelters in the area to donate to animals in need.

The Toy and Treat Drive runs from November to December. During that time, you can drop off any donated items to any of the three Fur-Get-Me-Not locations in the D.C. area. If you would like to make a monetary donation, contact the Humane Rescue Alliance today.

KidsCamp! A Dog Gone Great Time!

Kids love dogs, but it is important that your children understand how to interact with our canine companions properly. In order to teach children boundaries and safety when it comes to animals, KidsCamp! created a week-long day camp for children aged seven and up.

Children and their dogs come to the camp where children learn how to read a dog’s body language and work with their pooch to accomplish a variety of tasks, including obedience and agility feats.

The camp runs in December during the Christmas break. Day campers will cost $495, while residential campers will cost $695.
