Ifan was a great sitter. He sent frequent updates, photos, and was flexible with our hectic schedule. Chispa was happy and healthy when we picked him up, and I was suprised and delighted to see a small gift bag wiith Chispa's stuff when I looked in this morning (it was a Christmas time boarding). I believe Ifan works from home, so he is very attentive to the dogs he sits for. I would definitely recomend!

Riverfront Music Series
Save the date for this annual summer event! This dog-friendly music festival is filled with tunes, food, pups, family and friends! The event takes place in July, so be sure to check out the Glastonbury Parks & Recreation Department's website for further updates. This free, (yes, you read right) event will take place at Riverfront Park. Grab a blanket and a spot on the lawn, enjoy some lunch from your picnic basket or get something tasty from one of the many food trucks on site, relax and enjoy some great musical entertainment! (Be sure to clean up after your leashed pup, too).36
OPIN Free Dog Training Class
Does your little pooch need a refresher course on his manners? It's okay - we can all use a little help now and then. You and your puppy pupil should head to The Bartlett Arboretum every Wednesday night through April. K9 trainer Rob Mullin will walk your pup through the basics - walking on a leash, sitting, staying and any special things you have been having trouble getting your little buddy to do. Bring your pup on a 6-foot, non-retractable leash, a choke collar (don't panic) and his up-to-date license and rabies certificates. This class takes place in nearby Stamford, Connecticutt.24

GMCT January and February Brisk Winter Walks
The Great Meadows Conservation Trust, the Connecticut Society Center at Glastonbury and the Eleanor Buck Wolf Nature Center proudly sponsor the GMCT January and February Brisk Winter Walks series! Your leashed dog (no retractable leashes permitted) is welcome to join you as long as you both dress for the weather and stay properly hydrated throughout the walk. In cases of bad weather, the walks may be cancelled, so be sure to check The Connecticut Audubon Society website if in doubt.

The Glastonbury Farmers Market will be open from June through October. You, your whole family and your leashed pup need to go and check out the countless local vendors at Hubbard and Main Streets. Be sure to bring your recyclable shopping bags because you are going to need them! The Glastonbury Farmers Market offers fresh local produce for the community at great prices. They also offer nutritional information and recipes for those inquiring minds. Come on in and check out all they have to offer, which can change from week to week!
