Burbank Police Foundation’s Family Fun Day
Have a fun day out and raise funds to benefit brave animals in uniform at this pet-acular event. Held at the Johnny Carson Park in nearby Burbank, the Family Fun Day is a jam-packed day of community activities that benefit the Burbank Police Department’s K9 and mounted units. There are plenty of entertaining community activities on offer, including a car show and a delicious pancake breakfast, as well as police department demonstrations and adoptable animals from the Burbank Animal Shelter. If you’re looking for the paw-fect excuse to spend an exciting day in the park with your furry friend, this is it!

Doggie Splash
Does your pooch love the dog days of summer? Does he love getting wet any chance he gets? If so, why not take him along to the annual Doggie Splash at Burbank’s McCambridge Pool. For two paw-fect hours, the pool is open only to friendly dogs, with no humans (other than lifeguards on duty) allowed in the water. It’s grrr-eat fun for all the dogs and often just as entertaining for owners, as there are few things more enjoyable than watching a big group of canines splash and frolic in the water. It’s the ideal way for you and your pet to say farewell to summer, so get ready to dive right in!

Wiggle Waggle Walk
Can you hear the pitter-patter of paws? It could be the sound of the annual Wiggle Waggle Walk, which steps off in Brookside Park at the Rose Bowl each September. Run to benefit the Pasadena Humane Society, this grrr-eat community dog walk and fundraiser attracts thousands of dog lovers and their canine companions. There are one-mile and three-mile routes available, with water stations along the way to ensure that all people and pets stay hydrated. To top it off, there’s also a Family Festival that coincides with the Wiggle Waggle Walk, with contests, demonstrations, vendors, and live entertainment guaranteed to provide hours of fun.

Wags-N-Whiskers Walk
Get your paws moving and raise money for a woof-tastic cause at this wonderful annual event. The Wags-N-Whiskers Walk, held each May to benefit the Glendale Humane Society, is a relaxed family-fun day for dog lovers and their pets. The stroll takes place in the charming surroundings of downtown Montrose, and there are three blocks worth of fun, games, and activities awaiting you and your pooch. Highlights include pet products, food, rides, the Montrose Harvest Market, the Kids N Kritters event, and a whole lot more! All proceeds go to Glendale Humane Society's Second Chance Program, which gives homeless dogs and cats a second chance at life.
Eagle Rock Bark
Looking for fun, affordable, family-friendly entertainment this Halloween? Look no further than Eagle Rock Bark, a volunteer-run Halloween and pet adoption event. The schedule for this woof-tastic festival is so jam-packed that we can’t fit it all in here, but highlights include a doggie costume parade, doggie kissing booth, kids’ costume parade, live entertainment, trick or treat village, the LAPD K9 unit, food trucks, and plenty of freebies! Entry is free for all ages, so grab your pet and check it out.
