review

This was Leia s second boarding experience and had some separation anxiety, but Ruth took such good care of her the entire time she was there. She was super attentive to Leia s needs and was even able to pick up medication for her. I am incredibly grateful for Ruth s patience with Leia throughout her stay.

Adriana is simply amazing! She was so welcoming of my pooch, and made him feel like one of her own pups. I would certainly recommend her to my friends and family with pets. You can really feel the love she places into taking care of the doggies.

Animals on Broadway

Join thousands of other animal lovers (and plenty of cute canines) at the annual Animals on Broadway pet walk. Held at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek each May, this wag-alicious walk raises vital funds for Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation, a non-profit that rescues at-risk dogs and cats from public shelters. While the pet walk is the main attraction, the event also features rescue groups, a dog wash, a pet wellness fair, demonstrations, and heaps of kids’ activities! So take your pooch along, raise money for a good cause, and strut your stuff with a crowd of like-minded animal lovers.

Paws & Relax

Want to channel your inner artist to paint a unique portrait of your pet? Interested in raising money for a good cause at the same time? Paws & Relax is the event for you. Held several times throughout the year at Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation, these regular fundraisers allow you to create a lasting pet memory and provide crucial support for the foundation at the same time. Once you’ve registered and paid a fee to participate, you’ll receive a pre-sketched canvas of your pet. With the expert advice of a local artist to help you embrace your creativity, you can then produce the paw-fect portrait of your furry friend!

Hot Rods 4 Paws

Petrolheads and pets combine in this popular annual event. Hot Rods 4 Paws is a car show with a good cause, held each October at the Petco on Lone Tree Way, Antioch. It’s presented by Furry Friends Food Relief (FFFR) and Kings Antioch Car Club, with all proceeds going to FFFR. What does it involve? Well, there are cars of course, including everything from muscle cars to bikes, but the highlight for animal lovers is the ridiculously cute pet costume contest. On-stage entertainment, a fun kids’ zone, and a long list of vendors complete the line-up, making it a paw-some day out for dogs and their humans!

Brentwood Bark in the Park

Held in nearby Brentwood, roughly 10 miles southeast of Antioch, Brentwood Bark in the Park provides fur-ocious fun for the whole family! Every year, dozens of dapper dogs gather in City Park to show off their gorgeous and colorful costumes. The Pet Parade that follows always draws plenty of interested onlookers, giving any pooch that loves being in the spotlight the paw-fect opportunity to soak up some attention. Entry is free, and Bark in the Park is hosted by the Brentwood Advisory Neighborhood Committee.
