The Dog Ball
If you're looking for an amazing event, this is it! “The Dog Ball” has been going for the last 28 years, raising close to $100,000 for some of them! The event runs during the month of February. It features a dog show, videos, and a lovely presentation of dogs who are ready to be adopted. It’s a formal event so you need to have your ballgown ready. The night promises to be an extremely entertaining and exciting to-do.

Paws for Reading
Held at the Greater Huntsville Humane Society animal shelter, your family can experience one-on-one time with an incredible dog or cat. At this great event, you can get your small children to read their favorite book to an animal in need of love and attention. It is a great way to encourage children to read while also giving care to the pups who need it the most. Your children will adore this unique adventure and the animals will adore your children’s attention! It is held every Thursday inside the animal shelter.

Huntsville Obedience Training Club's Annual Dog Fair
The Annual Dog Fair is a pup-tastic event held every September. Located in Monte Sano State Park, this annual event will rock your dog's socks off. They show off dog tricks set to various dance tunes, displaying the fruits of agility and obedience training. There are also loads of competitions and contests. The event is free, but parking at the venue will cost a small charge. This is your chance to have a blast with the family and get your 4-legged, furry friend a chance to groove to the music!

Galaxy of Lights
Hosted by the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, this extraordinary display of lights will delight both your human family and your pet pooches. One special night of this festival is designated specifically for families with dogs. This is where the magic begins, as you let yourself get mesmerized by the lights while your pup has the time of his life. Gather your furry friends and rally on down to the Galaxy of Lights festival. Adult Members cost $6, Children $3 and Dogs $1. Non- members cost $7, Children $4 and Dogs $1. It's truly a magical experience.
Biergarten – US Space and Rocket Center
Every Thursday between March and October this marvellous center hosts the German Biergarten, which provides fine German cuisine and entertainment. The imported German beers, wines, and food is incredible! Your 4-legged friend is also welcome during these paw-some nights. There is a lot of dancing, so wear the right footwear so you can groove with Fido. This is a taste of another culture, and it is refreshingly entertaining. Come see for yourself!
